Front-row seats to the collapse, and the block rewards are still paying on time.

@CryptoJelleNL
$BTC is clearly in the late stage of a bear market.

- Spot Exchange volume at its lowest point since 2019
- Over half of supply is underwater
- Seller Exhaustion & MVRV-Z Score getting close to bear market bottom levels
- Exchange inflows slowing down

Smells like opportunity 👀

So your saying layering trust ontop of a trustless model can get you killed?

People will never listen, and the guy was a "IT Professional".

Yup lets all hob on the knob of centralization, its not like bitcoin was specifically designed to bypass those cunts or anything.

The donor(s) should have made the donation from one of their wallets, preferably one unlinked from the transfers to/from Binance. That's the right way to do it - and one of the foremost use cases for bitcoin.

The problem is that a lot of people think Bitcoin is anonymous, which is even more strange if you've done full KYC on CEX. However, even if someone sent BTC from CEX to their non-custodial wallet and then made a transaction, it is very easy to determine who it is.
That's what I meant by a wallet unlinked from the transfers to/from Binance. At the very least, send from a "fresh" address, not a change address involved in previous transactions.

The solution is to use a mixer or swap to an altcoin and then make a donation.
Even better, but a little more involved.

If anyone has ever wondered what kind of person CZ is, then they don't have to wonder anymore - even when they were not legally obligated to hand over this information, they did so, thus condemning many people to torture and long-term sentences for just a few hundred $. I hope they never get a permit to work in the EU because they clearly chose a side.
I think CZ bent over to other (US) authorities already, to save his own ass. Did the Russians have anything on him, or is it just for convenience that CZ gave them the damning info?

As for the US, it was clearly assessed that it was more useful as an ally in cryptocurrency deals in which everyone from the president down is involved - and as for Russia, in my opinion there are only two reasons why this happened - the first is the one you mention, it's about blackmail - and the second is that the CZ has its favorite in that war and it clearly shows that with this move.

Since his CEX failed to obtain a permit to operate in the EU, he obviously turned to the other side. If he starts doing business in Russia in the near future, then we will know that it has something to do with what he did.

18 years ago today — August 18, 2008.

The domain bitcoin.org was registered.

No Bitcoin network.
No genesis block.
No BTC price.
No exchanges.
No miners.
Not even the whitepaper had been published yet.

Just a domain name... and something quietly being built behind it. ₿

2008-08-18 → 2026-08-18

Happy 18th birthday, bitcoin.org. 🎂₿

And the rest is history.

Anyone that is a "IT Professional" and doesn't know enough to use Monero for something like that needs their head examined.

Especially someone that lives in a country where people fall out of windows on a regular basis!
