It seems that we are hovering around the 470-500 mark for a while. I think that this is not bad for bitcoin, even if the value is a little bit less (I am sure by the way that it will rise in time, have no worries about it).

However, for the moment, having an almost stable value makes it usable as a "currency".

Agree that o.k. for those who buy within this same range and for those who bought for cheaper.. but a little stressful for those who bought higher... .. but anyhow, I am also quite confident that prices will rise... but currently I am thinking that this could take several months... yet time will tell.

Lastly... I do not know if you have a bee in your bonnet about me,  or in general but I  have not done anything other than discuss, and disagree with you.. and as far as I know this is not offensive in and of itself and I do not think I have been offensive to you in anyway, so you know... chill out with the vibe and maybe not so much need for the sarcasm and hostile vibe... or not, up to you, just a suggestion, I for one am pretty chilled right now.. I hope you are/can be too.

In other words:

Cool    CALM THE FUCK DOWN!!!!!!!    Cool

I am so beginning to love that expression for its opposite effect.   Cheesy

Huobi is around $4 above Bitstamp at the moment. And they slowly falllling too.

I guess there is no leader at the moment.

they all feed of each other, and poeple say you can't trust the volume in china  supposedly its exaggerated by bots so they come out as THE place to trade bitcoin. and so there is no obvious leader....

I'm lending out most of my BTC at 0.19%/day on Bitfinex. Somebody thinks the price is going down. Though the fact that they're borrowing my BTC at 10 times the market rate makes me wonder how smart they are?

In the lending forum you won't find less than 1%/day, so 0.19% is a bargain.

Also 10x less is less than real life bank interests.

Where is the "market" you talk about?

I posted this before but I think it deserves a re-post. Check mining spec forum for full thread.
Basically it implies bitcoin can be considered over-valued but if difficulty continues to ramp we should hit 1k by January.

When calculated in the OP over the time period from March 14, 2013 to March 13, 2014 the average increase in the difficulty and hash rate was 23.92% per adjustment period and the average length of each adjustment period was 11.38 days.

Recalculated over the period June 29, 2013 to June 29, 2014 it was 23.45% and 11.41 days.

Now, recalculating over the period August 24, 2013 to August 31, 2014 it is 21.12% and 11.63 days.

Assuming the network growth rate over the next year is the same as it was this last year we get:

Hope so....The "big buy" (4k btc) was squashed. Sellers abound. I could see us go sideways or creep low into the new year.  Huh

You cannot see who leads on that plot.  Arbitragers apparently react in a few tens of seconds at most.  Even the plot with 1-minute interval is too coarse.
