can we expect bancor to launch its native eos smartcontracts/app ASAP after eos mainet is live? or its the idea to build that over the course of the year later........

I don't think they will launch cross chain transaction facility at the moment but in future we will see this kind features on that platform. But I think soon we will get update on this mainnet swap.

Bancor Prevents Pump and Dumps

Recently a pump and dump group took aim at BNT, the network token that allows Bancor to provide continuous and instant conversion between Smart Tokens™ in the Bancor Network. The pump failed to reach its target price and the reaction of BNT to the attempt demonstrates how Bancor uses smart contracts to create a price anchor that protects tokens against artificial price inflation.

Read more about how Bancor prevents pump and dumps:
https://blog.bancor.network/amid-pump-dump-boom-the-bancor-protocol-helps-tokens-fight-back-3730f85d034c

That's an interesting news! When exactly did it happen? How di you find out it was happening (and failing?) Details would be much appreciated.

EDIT: Also the article doesn't provide details on all details, even though for some it does.

No specifics on this beyond what's shared in the article

Are they planning to build their own cross chain transaction technology or do they plan to integrate with another protocol that offers that functionality?

Bancor's cross-blockchain compatibility will integrate other smart contract blockchains.

The EOS community is likely to become a very huge one, and having EOS as a Bancor adopter will likely be an important milestone towards the setting of a standard that nobody in crypto will then be able to ignore.

Would that work with the BNT token as well? Also, would BNT still remain an ERC20 token no matter the adoption on EOS?

Work with the BNT Token in what sense? And yes, BNT is ERC20 and it is expected to keep being that way at the moment.

Indeed, if you join Bancor with your token it will go though Bancor's pricing algorithm which you can see on section 3 of the whitepaper https://about.bancor.network/whitepaper

This is great news. Cross-blockchain makes the bancor platform much more popular. I read in the autumn that the team was still communicating in the fall with the creator of the Waves project.

This is an interesting question. Also when it will become a cross chain platform, will it still have a ERC-20 nature?

Yes Queeps, Bancor will continue as an ERC-20  token unless announced otherwise.
