BNT is the connector (reserve) for all Smart Tokens on the Bancor Network. The Bancor protocol enables automatic conversion of Smart Tokens on the Web App through BNT. In addition to this, BNT becomes more useful as more Smart Tokens join the Bancor Network and use BNT as their connector. These are BNT's advantages.

Looking at the posts that you can read here lately it seems most of the people don't even bother to read the Bancor's OP or the whitepaper... their knowledge of the Bancor protocol is close to zero. So many people are just treating cryptos like apples or oranges that they can buy and sell at the market without even having to know the dufference between an apple and an orange.
