Can Bitcoin be used by ordinary citizens?

Till now I don't find any restriction for bitcoin usage, anybody can use bitcoin without any problem, but people should understand that bitcoin is a decentralized currency which is acceptable through online itself. If an ordinary citizen can use other payment system like paypal, I don't think they cannot adopt with bitcoin. Actually paypal is more stricter as you account should be verified first before you can avail of their service but in bitcoin, it's very simple and you can make it fast since no third party to approve or reject your application.

yes i am agree with, in many country, there are bitcoin user that still using bitcoin for many purpose and they are not have a problem with their government so i think if ordinary citizens wants to use bitcoin, it will be a good for them and they can help to spread bitcoin in their offline life so i am sure that many people will know bitcoin soon.

yes i am agree with, in many country, there are bitcoin user that still using bitcoin for many purpose and they are not have a problem with their government so i think if ordinary citizens wants to use bitcoin, it will be a good for them and they can help to spread bitcoin in their offline life so i am sure that many people will know bitcoin soon.

The government is the only threat for bitcoin because of the government will forbids bitcoin to their country then even if the ordinary citizens want to try bitcoin they can't use it because of the restrictions of the government. But i think those governments just need some clarification about bitcoin so they can fully understand and remove negative things on their mind and fully allow bitcoin.

I use Bitcoin because I like technology and new innovation. Another reason I use Bitcoin is because I want to have access to online payment. I believe that Bitcoin will become universal and will be used by a lot of people. However, I do not think it will happen anytime soon as Bitcoin is still a very tech-focused currency. There is already a lot of projects that aims to bring Bitcoin to people who have little or no interest in technology. Hopefully we will be seeing more and more people using Bitcoin - including those who never understand internet.

That's true! People with interest in technology are usually the user of bitcoin and people with zero knowledge about technology are struggling to understand the concept of bitcoin. That is the reason why Bitcoin is still considered as a payment system of internet and not for the mass.

People with technological interest will be able to adopt bitcoin faster and they will also try to find new avenues to spend that money. That is one major roadblock for the bitcoin to be known as the currency of common man. However, with growing reach of technology, bitcoin is also spreading at a very fast rate. So probably 5 years down the line, it would be able to become the currency of common man.

Why not... Everyone can learn it when it is necessary to use bitcoin. if it could make their transactions easier, I don't see any hindrance that they can't learn how to use bitcoin...

Don't forget that before, we don't know how to use cellphone, how to use computer, but due to the reason that we need it and it is necessary, we started to learn how to send text messages, and to send an email... So I think, same as in bitcoin, if they found it useful in the future, then they can learn how to use it...

I came across with some ordinary citizen from my locality as well as from other region. THey are mostly gamers, freelancers and few just casual trader. But no shop owners are ready to accept BTC, though few know about it. It can be used by ordinary citizen, if it gets some promotion by Government. Otherwise it will take time for BTC to be used by all the ordinary peoples, because I found out that they fear the volatility and backward thinking.

Maybe it's because we're the ones who easily assimilate the bitcoin concept and soon begin to use it without having too many troubles, we would start to think that it would be an easy task for others too. But after many times I tried to explain how to use bitcoin to my parents, they seem to get new problems every time they do something with bitcoin.

The original idea of p2p cash is damaged due the fact that satoshi didn't realize raising the blocksize to massive amounts would not make it p2p cash anymore.

Of course ordinary citizen can use the Bitcoin. The bitcoin is open for everyone to use.
They just have to know how to use. But if they know how to use is and know all the profits of using it more people will start to use it

We are all considered ordinary citizens since we are not a military personnel, government worker, politician and thus we belong to that category. Most of the bitcoin users are or were ordinary citizens of their own state and will continue to increase in number. But bitcoins is not just limited to ordinary citizens but to all citizens in the world.

If you consider yourself an ordinary person or common person so, I think you are not making any right call. I think the main purpose of the bitcoin is to reach to the people who doesn’t have any access to internet and who don’t know how to use it like.

Of course why not.Today is a modern world and everyone can access internet. In that case, everyone of us can use bitcoin and all you need to do is to study about it. Consider current problems regarding nodes, devs team, miners, block size, politicize mining, higher fee, I really doubt that will going to be happen. This technology not going for mainstream used instead of limited used by some people which could afford to learn and accept bitcoin transaction. As long as those problems not solved yet, it simply cannot.

If they buying some items online they use it even if they are not interested they can use it as mode of payment. Many people here in our country that using bitcoin use this as investment in MlM, Use this as mode of payment. use this to transafer their money. and many more.

indeed most of bitcoin users in using it as a means of payment online or not, enabling them to transact not know the distance of space and time, if bitcoin who make the investment I think it is still rare for beginning users

Abosutely yes, bitcoin is for anyone, for ordinary citizens, for all bitcoin users. Anyone can use bitcoin, it is designed for all. As long they know how to use bitcoin, the process, so anyone can use it.

There is no exemption of who can use bitcoin. It is not just for the people that has background knowledge with computer technology. Since nowadays the world is being dominated with technology. I'm sure that everyone can easily cope up and learn on how to obtain and use bitcoin. Nothing is hard today with technology.

You can do everything, but from the point of view of convenience it is better if the fraction was smaller. In business every detail is important. Bitcoin is also a business. Also if it was cash bitcoin, its use would have moved faster.

There are few countries in the world where Bitcoin is banned. And even in those countries, people can use it if they want to.
The question is, can just everyone use it. Some people might have a notion that using Bitcoin is very complicated. And the truth is that, although everyone can simply use it, people have to have some knowledge about the technology and security features. At this point, it's not as simple as using a credit card. For example, addresses need to be stored and pasted into the browser. And there's the issue of which wallets to use, and how to secure the Bitcoins etc.
