There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

I got my order #4xx yesterday. The Can-bus cable which was orderd on the same day did not arrive, so I'll have to think of something.

Now I'm trying to mine with a few solo miners on Windows; I get this Bitburner USB device but without a driver.
Does anybody know what driver to use?

BFGminer does not detect a device or port.

Thanks.

Where are everyone else getting tracking numbers and picking up their orders?
I'm on the #6XX and to that rate ( by people posted ) i'll have to wait to december...
What happens to all of those people who do business with bitcoin mining hardware?

he have to ship within the next week, otherwise the contract is broken "However, delivery time for this product varies, we guarantee shipping within a month of receiving the customer’s chips."
http://www.burninmining.com/product/complete-module/

I hope he is doing so... I'm still waiting for my order...

Found it: http://sourceforge.net/projects/libwdi/files/zadig/

(Why isn't this on the burninmining site -
Together with the howto, which can only be found through Google.)

Yes, I found it there. Still I think it should be on the product page. It took me half an hour to find it. Valuable mining time! Smiley

[kind of offtopic]

Huge disappointment from Deutsche Post DHL regarding shipment to Ukraine! After crossing the border, instead of the national post carrier (Ukrposhta) parcels are delivered by DP-DHL's partner company Meest, which is full of shit. Sad

Anybody knows what is a safe voltage (--bitburner-voltage option)?

These options give about 22 GH/s per 3 miners:

cgminer-nogpu.exe --avalon-options 115200:6:10:32:400 --queue 4

I tried --avalon-options 115200:6:10:28.8:440 but this was slower. I did not try overvolting.

Code:
--avalon-options 115200:10:10:28:450 --bitburner-voltage 1334 --avalon-temp 30 --queue 4
5 miners , 44Gh, 512W from the wall

There are 2 posts... the first is on bottom. I guess you havent updated the firmware yet either then.

Are the new boards still shipping with out-of-date firmware, then?

I dont know. I only flashed all boards i got just to be sure...

Please ALWAYS contact me through bitcointalk pm before sending someone coins.

Days later, still no email replay from burnin again. He basically got 240 chips for free (plus hundreds/thousands more from everyone else for the time being). I have been incredibly polite and patient with him, but if he is too busy, he should hire someone to answer his emails at least...

I have an order for boards made from Zefir's batch 2.
I emailed burninmining@gmail.com on 2013-09-27 asking for the status of my order and received a reply on 2013-10-06 from 'Martin' saying:
"Your order is on its way to you.
should arrive on wednesday."

No tracking number or update in my order status (still says 'processing') - but at least I got some communication.

So it's now Friday - and nothing... not even a tracking number. I would have thought that the 400+ Euros I paid for shipping would at least get me that.
To say the least, I'm really disappointed that burnin's move to handling the bitfury project has resulted in such abject treatment of existing customers who paid up front and honoured their side of the deal.

edit: ok - they've given me a tracking number now. Apparently it's stuck in Australian customs. It looks like they don't have a phone number to contact me on.
Hopefully this will get sorted out soon... but I hate to think how much tax I'll be hit for on a shipment which has a real value significantly below the invoice value :/

edit2: It seems I'll be able to pick up the package today. I got hit for just over 12% of the product's invoice price.. which was not unexpected .. but I expect I'll at least get a little more than that back through mining, so I may as well get the things and recoup something.

I just received 4 cryptx's BitBurner Fury boards today that I ordered 3 weeks ago. My BitBurner XX's that I ordered to have assembled on July 31st, are still not even in production. Did burnin just say fuck all to the Avalon chips and just move forward with the Bitfury boards through cryptx?
