Status Update:
I received the last batch of boards today .
Almost all of it will be leave my hands again tomorrow.
Was a lot of work to package them all.

Are you talking about completed miner boards?  Does that mean that mine are now en route to me?

Or do you instead mean blank PCBs that have now left your hands destined for the assembly house?

My 3 boards were delivered yesterday and are hashing away happily.  Might even get a whole BTC before it's time to take them offline! Smiley

We all hoped this would turn out better but big thanks to burnin for following through and producing a really fantastic little mining board, absolutely no issues over here.

Hello burnin,

Avalon will soon start auction of their 55nm chips on TradeHill auction. Will you be able to build boards for these chips?

I have sample chips here i will test, but i am busy with the old ones at the moment.

Thanks. Is there anyone, who can build boards out of new Avalon 55nm chips? Maybe cryptx? I wish to buy chips, but I need to find good engineer to build boards first Smiley

I'll do testing with my prototype this weekend.

Hello burnin,

How did your tests went? Everything OK? Any plans to building boards for these chips?

Avalon stated that the chips are fully compatible with gen1. Does that mean one can reflow them into 1st gen BitBurner without changing anything else?

The chips aren't pin compatible, so no.

In other words, YiFuck lied. Again.

WHAT'S WITH THE REFUNDS?

Did cryptx pay the reward to burnin yet? Burnin stated he only can move forward with refunds when cryptx paid him. He even couldnt pay the assembler for the last boards yet.
So i guess the question has to be directed to cryptx.

Please ALWAYS contact me through bitcointalk pm before sending someone coins.

I was fortunate enough to get my refund from the frozen Paypal funds, but the issue here is cryptx not paying Burnin. It was obvious to all that sales of Bitfury's was going to be used to pay the Avalon refunds, so I think anger from this thread should be targeted more towards cryptx.

And cryptx respond this...

We had no intention to communicate through forum posts about internal affairs with Burnin.

We did not receive any answer by Burnin in days about financial matters (still waiting for his invoices + we already paid ~65% through discounts)
Now we are held responsible for undelivered promises by Burnin through a forum post.
We are very dissapointed about this to say the least.

Did you go to asic-hardware.com and change your order to "marked for refund"?

According to cryptx, it's burnin's responsibility to provide the 50% refunds. I am waiting to hear from burnin on this matter. Either they didn't communicate cohesively who was going to provide refunds, or someone isn't being honest with us.

You should have received an email back in Sept that reads:

Quote
Dear valued customers,

There has been very little communication from me over the last few days, because the development
of the BitFury boards takes up all of my time.
I had to prioritize this over refund processing, because the Bitfury chips are expected to be delivered soon.

Now to the important part:
My new main distributor is CryptX aka asic-chips.com.
Their new site for complete hardware sales will be www.asic-hardware.com.
We have agreed that they will take over my end-user sales.
CryptX will also take over the refund processing and automate it.
I will transfer the orders that have not been completed or refunded yet and my customer database to them.
After transfer of the database you can log on to their site and you will have three options:
 1. You convert existing orders that have not been refunded yet to Bitfury product orders.
The 70% partial refund will be deducted from your final order price.
 2. You choose to get the 50%, later hopefully 70% partial refund.
 3. Keep your order.

If you have any objection to the transfer of your information to CryptX, please
let me know by sending an email with the subject line:
 'Opt out of database transfer'
You have 24 hours before the transfer, requests received later will be deleted on their side.

Cheers
 Martin
