Well, first I like to thank burnin, this is awesome. I hope everyone tips this man once his asic is up and running.

but I need to know how to sign a message when I use an online wallet like blockchain. I paid for the chips with that ewallet, so no way I can just create an offline wallet or connect to this wallet via a client.. suggestions?

You could export your private key, import them to a bitcoin-qt client and then sign your message.

You can also presse "Send Money" and to the right of your adresse choose the Actions dropdown box and press sign message =

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

I ordered 700 chips from Zefir and am interested in your pcb design. I'd prefer not to have 70 individual units, so if you have any bigger designs in the works, I'm definitely interested.

Ok I feel dumb but how do you >> you have to be able to sign messages with address used for the payment of the chips!<< ??

Is their some way in the wallet to generate some signed sig, aka like public key.. or how do you go about this.. I did email you but didnt get any reply so I must of did something wrong..

I was in the first batch of chips that where ordered.

Also, while I appreciate what you are trying to do, Who are you? No post count, late '12 join date, and no reputation make me extremely apprehensive sending you 100's of BTC worth of hardware.

Sorry, I missed your post I am rather busy working on the development and was offline last weekend.
1. You will order from an officially registered company in Germany, the order is a legal contract between the customer (you)
and the company (me) that both sides have to honor, or face legal consequences.
2. I won't receive any chips until July, and I will demonstrate a working Miner with the sample chips from Avalon by that time.
You are free to have your chips sent elsewhere if I don't.

would these potential boards be compatible with the avalon units themselves?
ie - could the 3 module avalon units be upgraded to 4 module simply by plugging ur module/s in?
presumably this is feasible
This is not planned or possible with my design.

For all the people with large number of chips, the most feasible option would be a double density board with 20 Chips at about 100eur.
Even larger boards would pose problems that I don't want to face, doing such a time-constrained project.

Hi, i find it difficult to have to buy from another guy then have it shipped to you. Im a big fat dumb guy.

Can I:
1. instead, pay you directly based on my required specs and estimated shipping?
2. wait until the final item comes to my door?

This would be awesome, for 100 chips I'd much rather deal with 5 units then 10, and it would probably be much faster for you to assemble and test.

 Thanks Burnin.

 Thanks Burnin.

There are pros and cons for both sides. It is harder to manage many boards, but that gives better option if one chip gets bad on the board. Think about it. Of course, if the layout if fault tolerant, then there are no issues at all with larger board.

I ordered 30 chips. Can I have two modules?
1. with 20 chips at 100 eur
2. with 10 chips at 80 eur

As opposed to having 30 chips in 3 modules of 10 chips each at 80 eur each (240 eur). I would like to save some money. I am sure those who ordered 40 chips would prefer having your 20 chip modules too.

You could make an offer like small, medium and large. 10, 20 and 30 chips. If you do that, I'll take a 30 chip module. Maybe charge 120 eur for it?

Agreed. People - let the first product come out. You will have plenty of opportunity for higher density boards with skyrocketing difficulty.

This x 1000.  As much as it would be more convenient to have my 50 chips in one unit, if the added complexity leads to delays then I would rather delivery sooner than later .

And i can only imagine the headache keeping track of everyone's different orders would be for burnin .

I ended up finding my tx on blockchain.info and working backwards to save one of the sending addresses in the address book.
