For all the people with large number of chips, the most feasible option would be a double density board with 20 Chips at about 100eur.

I'm all for this too!

Yeah I could up my order too, if this is disclosed soon enough to increase my ragingazn's order. Otherwise I'd have to order some chips from ragingazn and some others from zefir and that would get messy Smiley.

Even larger boards would pose problems that I don't want to face, doing such a time-constrained project.

I don't want to burden you burnin since i know you have a lot of work to do, but please have in mind posting some pros and cons with the double density boards.(not now, but when you are ready to take orders)

Double density sounds fine. But will the additional work really be only 1/5th more time/money? 80 to 100€? I guess ill visit you and see what you do once my chips arrive... Smiley Maybe you need a helping hand too... Wink

Please ALWAYS contact me through bitcointalk pm before sending someone coins.

(Sorry, I don't want to dig through 8 pages)

How much EUR will the PCB-only option be?

Where in Germany are you located?

if we could have the breakdown of the BOM, labor, heat sink , fan, pcb and usb connector  would be great. if someone order 500 chip they will need to
have 50pcb x 80 Euro? 4000Euro on your part? since he is ordering so many pcb and other parts would they be some kind of a quantity discounts?
I'd really appreciate if this question could be answered as well.

Why?
He already stated, no matter how much you buy, you pay 80 EUR per piece. No discounts.

just to double check - the 80 euro is estimated cost for the pcb and other bits + assembly labor, but NOT including the chips, correct?

thus, the theoretical price for a complete ten chip unit (780 btc / 10000 = 0.078 btc per chip) would be 80 euro plus about .78 btc for the chips, correct?

not bad... not bad at all.

i don't post much, but this space for rent.

I don't want to burden you burnin since i know you have a lot of work to do, but please have in mind posting some pros and cons with the double density boards.(not now, but when you are ready to take orders)

I will try to help...

Pros-
-Lower cost per chip
-Higher chip density/less space
-Greater hashrate per board, of course
-Greater MAX mining power (if you only have 2 USB connections, you can only plug in 2 machines, and if they both have 2x chips you have 2x overall mining power)
-Less board to make overall, less work, less time, less resources etc

Cons-
-Heat may become a problem
-Designing 2 boards as opposed to one

I really think the pros outweigh the cons to a very large extent. Really, for burnin, the biggest factors are going to be the initial time of designing a larger board, vs the time saved later making fewer boards, and then the economics, of selling x boards at 80EUR apiece, and making 80x EUR, or selling (x-2y) boards at 80 apiece and y boards at 100 eur apiece and making [80(x-y)+100y]EUR which will range from 50x if everyone opts for the 2x boards up to to the original 80x. In my opinion, I would much rather invest half as much time and get paid 1.25 as much money (per hour, based on 50x/.5(80x))

Increased order and now I'm in with 50 chips,

2x20+10 would be great, but if 5x10 is faster, then that's fine too Smiley

20-chip unit would be great indeed. That would reduce the total cost significantly for people with many chips and also for the maintenance also. For 100 chips, from 800 EUR to 500 EUR (with speculated prices for now).
