I'm thinking on order 100 chips from zefir and make you assembly the modules, the problem is I'm from Venezuela, can you ship the final product to my country?  Tongue

He can definitely ship them, the struggle will be getting them through customs, if you ask me. Get to know your local customs guy and ask him what is necessary for you to import electronics.

In what order are the mining boards going to be shipped in?  Chip order or the forthcoming board order?

If it's board order, and a web site is set up to take those orders, then it better be on a massively scalable web service to meet the rush!

Maybe it would be better to give folk a few days to place their order, and randomise the order sequence?

That's a good idea. An orderID can be given to every one making orders withing the time window (1 week, etc.).

Then at a previously said time (end of 1st week of orders), the hash of the last bitcoin block at that time is taken as a random seed for a pseudo-random generator (C, Python, whatever).

This is in turn used to pick up the orders by orderID.

This algorithm is reproducible by everyone.

Also think of those people different time zones, who wont get to see the ordering announcement until several hours after everyone else.  Randomising it is a fairer system.

It should be in the order the chips come in. Why would anyone in the first batch of chips have to wait to get his board manufactured after someone in the last batches of chips gets his?  Huh Makes no sense...

The orders will be organized in two ways:
1. by chip-batch your Chips are in
2. by order-id

For people with chips in multiple batches i might buffer these with the chips i reserved in batch #1.
I might also offer these to people with uneven numbers of chips that want only 20 Chip modules.
But that will be decided when when chip delivery is close.

To the ones concerned about production capability:
I can scale it appropriately to demand.
It will be contracted to companies in germany i've worked with for years that meet highest quality standards.
(Avionic and Military)

To the ones concerned about weather or not i am capable of delivering what i promise:
I am going to produce prototype boards that I will demonstrate in this thread.
They will be ready about end of May. You can wait with your assembly Order until then.
Delays caused by that will depend on in which batch of chips your chips are.

International shipping:
I will ship to almost any country worldwide, carrier will be DHL.
But please check your customs regulations before ordering.

I am going to, in face of the high demand, put up a website for the ordering.
That will delay the opening of the ordering.
But keep in mind that this will not affect delivery times.

to everyone:
1. You are awesome
2. keep calm and carry on, the very first batch Chips arrives earliest in end of June, plenty of time until then.

So you make the design and the companies build it or do you build it on your own too? And will it be possible to visit you? Checking out what you are doing and maybe bringing chips to you personally?

Please ALWAYS contact me through bitcointalk pm before sending someone coins.
