Most chinese exchanges have zero fee.

That boosts their volume artificially.

How exactly do they make money, then? When they said 0 fee, I sorta assumed they artificially induced spread or something.

Probably by charging a fee when depositing/withdrawing fiat, just like bitcoin-24 did.

Maybe they use the additional information they have compared to the other market participants to their advantage.

A highly liquid, efficient exchange provides arbitrage opportunities.

Lot's of buying pressure of Stamp for a few days now.  Heavily the last few hours.

I'd take buying pressure on Stamp as far more telling than on Gox, as Stamp has traditionally been viewed more as a "seller's exchange".

Bitstamp just hit its 30 day high. Kind of a big deal considering it had a Silk Road crash in the middle of that Shocked

Not sure that's right; Bitcoinity is showing Bitstamp's 30-day high as 128.80, while today it only reached 128.20.

...and now they're at 128.85 -- definitely crossed the previous 30d high Smiley

Edit: and 129.1 fell! Stamp is having a run!

Finally! It's been stuck in a bit of a rut for the last month and then a dip because of Silk Road. It's nice to see a little growth again Smiley I'd be happy with 50 cents a day, that's still $180 over a year and a nice steady increase is better than shoots and spurts in my opinion.
