Is the ledger nano news the reason behind the price jump?
Halving will spike up the prices too in December.
Ledger nano news was yesterday, but pump - today.
Either traders are slowpokes or this is ordinary pump before a dump...
I don't think prices will stand high before October 25.

why do you think so ? base on what arguments ?
Because many traders convert their alts to btc to receive Bitcoin Gold.
So most of alts are very cheap now and their prices will fail before October 25 or... before everybody understand that Bitcoin Gold is nothing more that another shitcoin...

Hey guys have we gotten the AMD miner released yet?  i remember reading a couple months ago that it would "take a while" and I'm wondering if that time has finally come? Any responses appreciated, thanks.

I also think that alts should appreciate after the bitcoin fork. I think it is pretty obvious that Bitcoin Gold will be shit so people will sell it. Question is whether they will buy more Bitcoin or alts. With Bitcoin being at market top and alts being so cheap relative to BTC, I like the chances of the alts for a good recovery/positive run.

Vertcoin is the only green (+30%) in the Polo Top 20 at the moment -
What should we make of it?

mine ETH, sell it/them and buy VTC.

Mining Lyra2REv2 with AMD is not a good idea.

I think it's a good coin (obviously a newbie opinion  Grin ). Maybe has a bright future, but have to wait maybe the end of 2018 or the beginning of 2019.

mine ETH, sell it/them and buy VTC.

Mining Lyra2REv2 with AMD is not a good idea.
Buy low and sell high is the first rule of trading.
So buying VTC now is very risky... IMHO
I think it's a good idea to wait for the next week...
But... sometimes prices are very unpredictable...

You think your suggestion to sell cheap ETH and buy expensive VTC is clever comment?

Vertcoin is the most intelligently crafted coin I've seen the last three years.
Vertcoin could easily reach the top 10 in the next three months.

 Some of the Vertcoin Features:
1. Atomic Swaps
2. ASIC Resistant
3. Stealth addresses
4. Strong Community (lacking in many coins or just a bunch of goofballs)
5. SEGREGATED WITNESS Activated (Before Bitcoin knew what it was)
6. DECENTRALIZED MINING
7. Lightning Network

Read, think and read again before you post kiddo

He wants to mine VTC with AMD , you got that part ? Go back and read again.
Since he wants VTC, the thing to do is to mine ETH (AMD cards are great with that algo) , sell what he mined and buy VTC.

example:
mining VTC for a week with AMD cards = 10 VTC
mining ETH for a week with AMD cards and selling the ETH and then buying what he wants = 30 VTC

Understand now ?

is there a reason why you post in green ? Lack of respect for the rest of the world ?

And how about to mine ETH and not sell it now at so low price?
How about to wait some time and then sell it on higher price and buy VTC at lower price?
Understand now kiddo? I think no...

damn you are stupid, I blame your parents.

EDIT: And chances that he wants the VTC now and not holding on ETH which he obviously could already do.
