Not what I asked. 0-1 active connections and the wallet stops sync after 1 minute. After adding the node, I have no connections with the network. Please lay out here working file vertcoin.conf

0 connection means you are in the network, if you are not then it will say no block source.
it's going to be painfully slow to sync up but you will sync fully one step at a time.
if you scroll a few pages back there will be list of nodes you could try to add them it's a generic process same with every qt.
the only real way for your nodes to grow is to conduct transactions often.
otherwise there's no point in running a full node just get an online wallet with private key.

0 active connections in the QT wallet, how to fix it?
If possible please put a mini tutorial: how to add node

do not worry about it.
0 connections actually mean you are connected to the network.
it will be slow to update is all but once you are catched up it is really negligible difference
vtc transactions are really small only 20gb whole blockchain compared to btc's 150gb.

PIVX Blockchain is <1 Gb.  PIVX can’t have a 51% attack.  Just saying.   I’m just really trying to understand why people like VTC over PIVX.

does PIVX have these ?  Cheesy

1clickminer
segwit
atomic swap
zero premine
asic resistance (proven n tested hardforked 2x)

Sorry no I did not help I need to launch the QT wallet, so I have 2 mesacny file wallet.dat where I know what are my coins. But you can't start the QT wallet. After running the connection for 1 minute, and then no connections with the network and synchronization is not. After adding a node does not want coodinates I network and synced.Once again, please lay out here working file vertcon.conf
Now and again I need the text of the working file vertcoin.conf, not your comments. Thanks in advance!

I'm using this wallet: Vertcoin Core version v0.11.1.0-9c5018b (64-bit), without any nodes added, and it connects fine. Maybe your problem is the wallet's version you're using.

I can help you to restore/recover your wallet or password.

addnode=98.29.116.16

.

Those may or may not work.  They were added a long time ago.  I still use that conf file, but I also have a peers.dat that is probably used to connect.  Not sure but sometimes the block explores have nodes you can use.

Not exactly, it has other properties that separate it from the rest.  No premine.  Staking and MN only is better than mining and is naturally asic proof.  PIVX is immune to 51% attack.  Sure, growing pains with zPiv, but it will prevail.  Is better than DASH too.  I picked up some VTC, why not pick up some PIVX.  Just in case.  Atomic swap is interesting, I'll have to admit.

usually synchronizations may take a little time. But you do not have any nodes to add.

At least 1 of the block explores has nodes listed under network.  It's the 3rd one on the 1st page.  Didn't cut/paste it.

Sorry for being a total noob here, I'm currently mining Ethereum with Zotac 1060 and get a hashrate of around 22Mh/s. Can I expect the mining for VTC to result in a similar hashrate, or is it going to be lower? Thx.

Thanks, I knew about the site but never actually scrolled Smiley. It seems VTC is better than ETN, however it might be time to go back to ethereum.

Is there a different difficulty calculation from the target on this coin?

I regularly find shares above the diff shown but never find a block. On other coins, anytime I find a share above the network difficulty it finds a block.

Vertcoin is shit.
No iOS wallet
No Working Core wallet (always sync problems)
No Working Electrum wallet (always unverified problem)

Is there anything that works on Vertcoin? Devs dont care about community
