They announced the coin swap at the beginning of October and gave two months. I get that it can be annoying to check and I'm sorry for your loss.  We're in an unprecedented era and it's a quickly evolving landscape. The point of decentralization is to give the power back to the individual, no one else is getting paid a fee to do it for you. So yes it is the coin owner's responsibility to keep updated with their coins

Once you are on Yobit, XLR is going to be as it is.
If ever again you want them to udate or upgrade XLR, you will never get them to do it for you.
For example if Yobit had Solaris Nist5 before the swap, they would never have swapped - we would have both Nist5 on Yobit and XEVAN on other exchanges.

How they can be hacked. First you have to know on which IP address is wallet? How they know that?

Second, you need a private key for sending coins from locked wallet. How did they get it?

And then main question, how we can protect our self?

Chances that it was inside job are pretty high imo! They claim it was a sophisticated social engineering attack...

I was just curious how something like that can happen. If you follow only basic rules to protect your keys and access to machines you should be safe.

If it is social attack then it included human error or manupilation.

This is the news I have been waiting for since a couple of months ago. I'm a big supporter of decentralized exchanges as I believe this is the future to crypto trading and what better way to start then to get Solaris listed on CryptoBridge now before the masses start rolling in. On average around 100 to 400 people are signing up to CryptoBridge daily so its only a matter of time before we see this exchange up there with some of the best in the industry.
