Nothing to worry about. zXLR is just a protocol level feature. All that will happen on the 20th of January, is that the feature will get turned on the system.

Here is an explanation for zXLR: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DQ3HOkrW4AAvgQO.png

ALARM!!! XLR stopped blocks!

last block 51 minutes ago,  any wallet issue?

logs from wallet.dat from pool's server:

Quote
ERROR: CheckProofOfWork(): hash doesn't match nBits

We are aware of the current "stuck blockchain" affecting Solaris.
The cause has been identified and our developers are working on a fix ASAP.
Sorry for any inconveniences caused.

Excuse me for the n00b question, is there any point to keep my miners mining XLR while the chain is stuck? Or the work "lost"?

It is better to switch your miners to another coin, the developers will soon fix the problem and you will be able to return to mining XLR.

I am in contact with a friend who just emailed the developers with basically the same concerns and questions I have asked. When the developers have responded, and my friend emails to me their response, I will post the instructions they give to clear up the issues I and my friend are having.

People are watching this thread who have held back buying Solaris Coin. I am sure when they see that the developers are responsive and willing to help people who need it, then the price of the coin will rise.

Thanks,  G.P.

My friend sent to me this responsive email from the developers:

Hi,

Go to %appdata%/solaris/ and back-up your wallet.dat file. This file contains all your private keys, addresses etc, It is used to restore the wallet on any other machine, etc.

If you really want to get private keys:

Type into the Debug console in wallet.

dumpprivkey (paste your wallet address here leaving a space between the command and the address)

The wallet address looks similar to this "S5s2VyEFv5UZubxkb2ovac42Voy95f1ksQ"
Wallet addresses start with S

Press "Enter" and then the wallet address and private key will appear in the console window

Remember to leave a space between the dumpprivkey command and the address

Write down, print and/or save the private key and you will be able to recover your funds from that address anywhere regardless whether you have lost your computer or password.

Each wallet address had a different private key so you must repeat this for each one.

Regards,

viscolex

Question:  Can I download the new version of the developers wallet, and leave the old version on my computer?  That way, I will not lose anything if the new version somehow does not connect with the amount of Solaris coins I have?

Someone said to download the data file "as is".  Does that mean I should not name it when I download it?  I do not know what is meant by "as is"?  Thanks.

Is there a way to put the date file into the new version of the wallet that is downloaded?

Thank you to everyone who helps,

G.P.

Thank you dev! I will upgrade to the latest version right now. This is what I love about this coin, we have a great dev team that are on top of the problems that arise and get them fixed fast. Some devs can take days or weeks to have a fix but the Solaris dev team have a fix in a day just like once before when the wallet had some problems. Keep up the good work dev!

I can promote your project on X to my 100k+ followers for a reasonable price. Just DM me for prices.
