If you just invest the money buying sc, I think you make the better deal. You don't know the difficulty by then.. It's a long time till they are being shipped.

need the equip write offs (not big on getting more bitmain) thus at 50% tax rate on what I mine...need legit asic equip

thus my reason for sc miners are a bit more complex or but what you say is correct indeed....for everyone else or at least everyone only paying 25% tax

rate on their crypto mining income ....just where I'm at

(bitcoin has been berry, berry good to me...but damn it need legit companies besides bitmain ..who is tossing out pow scrypt miners like toasters and at too

high a price imho for a (hopefully) 2 month pre-order

whatever......my lot lately..need equip or give that 50% equip tax break to the IRS as a 50% cash ..at least in miners I can supposedly do better then

then break even on such a bet .....

Old Style Legacy Plug & Play BBS System. Get it from www.synchro.net. Updated 1/1/2021. It also works with Windows 10 and likely 11 and allows 16 bit DOS game doors on the same Win 10 Machine in Multi-Node! Five Minute Install! Look it over it uninstalls just as fast, if you simply want to look it over. Freeware! Full BBS System! It is a frigging hoot!:)

Do you have any clue where tax rates are only 25%? I get over 50% if I turn into fiat for any substantial amounts.

Fed income tax in USA is 25% if you don't make a lot of $$$$ ...then state taxes etc....at 4.15 to 50 buck LTC well...it got interesting..not so much yet...but I have like 5 months
left in the year yet.....

Just got in for a few more Sia. Develop develop until i can retire on this pocket change please. Sia is IMO one of the good undervalued cryptos out there, so let´s wait and see it recover and go up up up again.

Correct, price depreciation is almost seens on most coins in the market and Siacoin isnt on the exception even Bitcoin itself which means theres a price correction and panic selling happening as of now thats why they are all on reds. It your own choice to trust this coin or not and bying a little more cheaper coin would really be ideal but we should wait a little further because if we buy now we wont know if it would still dig deep and would really cause negative portfolio for sure.

If you can't sleep at night, maybe investing in crypto is not for you and should sell now. After the epic run crypto had in the first half of 2017 a deep correction was expected.

Many people don't patience they sell them at the lower price, right now is the best time to buyers who are willing to buy the SIA coin.
After few days there will be a big growth in the coin so it might give you a large amount of money if you buy them now.

Everything right now seems a reset of last week of May, the price might jump again anytime til next month, but who knows? As for me, it is safe to buy to gain profit in the near future.

Sia got hit harder than most alts... even though the entire crypto market took a nosedive. Some coins are straight up shitcoins but Sia has good long term potential and a solid team behind it. So I was really surprised that it would get hit so brutally.

There was a bit of panic around the Obelisk uncertainty and funding but it seems to have been sorted out.

They have 1200 Obelisk pre-orders and they will move forward with the production (people who ordered will get an estimated 250GH/s now)

The received a $400K grant from Li Xiaolai, a well-known billionaire in the crypto space who believes in Sia's future

NBlockchain provided the grant so that the Sia team can focus on development and not on fundraising. "Don't worry about money, just have things well done,” said Li Xiaolai, founder of INBlockchain.

So, the price drop did hurt me a lot... but I'm also more confident that it will recover. What worries me the most is if BTC rallys to $5000-$10,000, shouldn't the ratio of SC/BTC drop even more? Otherwise, I really do think SC has been oversold, especially since some of the uncertainty has been relieved and the team can fully focus on development for the next year. But I do have a bad feeling that the downtrend isn't over yet... and SC could potentially drop as low as 150 sats.

Sad

I was reading an analizes that considered the "real" price of SIA, and by that they meant the price of SIA related to the rented/sold storage space around 89 sats. That being said everything above that would be from hype/speculation. What are your opinions on this?
