Created the windows binaries today for the Viacoin electrum wallet.

It took me several hours because.
I noticed the build script for Electrum was missing wine python win_inet_pton

I should probably make a pull request to bitcoin electrum so they can fix/complete the missing part for their script.

I will do the official release for the Viacoin electrum wallet aka vialectrum later.

I only have to build the Mac binary.

But for the curious Linux users who would like to test

By using Simple Payment Verification (SPV), Vialectrum allows users to immediately send & Receive Viacoins by eliminating the need for downloading & syncing the blockchain.

Electrum is extremely secure, with the ability to enable two-factor authentication.
Making Viacoin easier to use.

There is also a possibility for Viacoin to be integrated with Trezor & Ledger Nano hardware wallet.

If you have the old Vialectrum wallet installed --> Before you upgrade, make sure you have saved your wallet seed on paper.


Yes this is the new version. I removed the old Vialectrum wallet & made it from scratch wich took only a day or 2 to figure out.
It took some extra time to build the Windows binaries since Bitcoin Electrum missed important code to build the binary.
It took several hours t debug and come up with a solution.

I made a pull request to electrum to optimize their windows build script by adding the missing package. -> https://github.com/spesmilo/electrum/pull/2358
