i'm new to via - have made me a bit clever at their homepage (roadmap, project, ...)

Every time I sort my Blockfolio by price increase, Viacoin is always way down at the bottom  

I've been invested in VIA since October and I'll tell you that's a very common trait of the coin. It can be very frustrating that many days VIA is towards the bottom of the list if you rank coins on poloniex by returns. However what happens with VIA is that 9 out of 10 days (or even 19 out of 20 days) it does almost nothing and then the 1 day it just go nuts. It's just the pattern of the coin. But on the days it's hot, it's real hot. Top of the charts hot and if you don't hold during the bad times, it's really hard to enjoy the good times - unless you time things perfectly.

Looking back since I've been invested the ones who have made the most are those who are the most patient.

I am trying to access my Viacoin using my clearwallet.co seed in Viaelectrum.

It shows 0 balance.

Any help would be appreciated.

Are any transactions showing, does Vialectrum show your address? I've got the same problem too.

Getting clearwallet.io priv keys for VIA addresses is technically possible, so hopefully someone helps out soon.

No, it doesn't show anything. I have no idea if this is the same address clearwallet gave me, because I never really shared the pub key with anyone or sent money there. If anyone knows of a way to get the pubkeys from clearwallet while clearwallet is down so I can compare them, that would be great.

Hmm price was up with the announcement but now dropping a bit. Volume seems around 500BTC a day on the high end. Needs to grow if Via is to grow.

Volume has been pretty high in my opinion. 1,000 btc in the last 24 hours (remember it trades on bittrex as well, currently about 700 poloniex/300 bittrex) We had a 5,000 btc volume day a few days back.

I've been tracking the volume figures lately and despite it being a #70-#80 coin of late, the volume has usually been in the top 50.

What coins is segwit actually operating on currently? I know litecoin is getting segwit but is it already implemented/accepted by the miners?

I think long-term whales are OK, because of course whales will also benefit if the price goes up, so it is maybe a good sign for long-term investing in my opinion

after LTC with its success now i VIA enjoy the result of Segwit thanks @romanornr,an increase of more than 100%

The difference between LTC and Via. They are both quite similar in Tech. Via has a few areas it needs work.


1. Chinese market- This is a huge market and we are not on any Chinese exchanges.

2. Marketing - Ltc has a team doing the marketing

3. Wallet is one click install

I feel if we fix these areas VIA will grow. 0.01582100  LTC price vs VIA price 0.00051421

Lots of room for growth.
