Why are most altcoins not on Chinese exchanges? Compared to the relative amount of altcoins. I believe this is a huge growth opportunity for altcoins in general.

because chinese exchanges need they own coins (hold more than 50%), not need others

I guess you are using wallet ver. 0.13.2.1 which is beta and contains bugs, you'd better try with ver. 0.10.11

"So VIA has not reached v1.0 yet but its total supply is 95%+ already mined to the date of this post." I am going to assume you are new here in crypto and be nice about it. There's a difference between mining & a premine. He said 95% of the supply is mined. It's mined by other people as just normal mining. There's no premine. Ok, since it takes you a lot of effort to be nice, I'll try to reciprocate. I find it more than shady that 95%+ of the coins are mined before the coin even breaks the top 100. I know the original project is from 2014, but this isn't the original project, this is a fork.

Now work is being done and it's rising. This has little to nothing to do with how long VIA existed before that, and calling it "shady" just makes no sense. And whether or not it's a fork or not also doesn't change a thing. Open Source software lives from forking, and as far as I know, the recent Viacoin uses the very same network / protocol the early Viacoin used.

This is the mining reward https://github.com/viacoin/viacoin/blob/0.10.11/src/main.cpp#L1272If there was a "premine" why would F2Pool, one of the biggest mining pools in the world support Viacoin ? They wouldn't do that if there was anything shady with Viacoin. This accusation makes no sense. Not in code or common sense.

I believe so too. I would love to see Viacoin added to an asian exchange.

It is my guess that the guy refers to the 10 MLN VIA premine that was offered as an ICO when the coin started 3 years ago. BTCDRAK made something like $380K with this ICO which was meant for further development of the coin, but in reality all development ceased after a while.

What price are we looking at at the end of 2017?
Tell me the predictions, And somebody knows hows the segwit plan working out?
It should have been activated already no?
E: Long time lurker at this forum, I made an investment at 1.30. Saw it going up to 2.10 but since than, only a stable 1.50ish

I have no predictions, but I did buy more VIA again yesterday at $1.20 USD. This morning it's at $1.10 USD, so I may buy a little more. Regards, Chris

Quick answer: no one knows if they did the market would go striaght up or straight down right away. If you see a growth possibility and the risk/reward fits you risk level then buy, if not then dont. That part is simple, 6 month price predictions are hard in stocks and dam near impossible in crypto.
