it's been speculated large whales are trying to keep prices down until the arch release so that they can keep accumulating. I hope they keep succeeding for a few months so I can accumulate as well, I'm targetting 50K Sonm by august next year

Same thing happened after the ICO, where the price was kept around 3-4 cents for a long time. Multiplied my stash though, so I'm very happy about that.

Exactly, we see that often with ICO's. No, I meant an amount of 50.000 sonm. I think by august it could be around 1 - 2$, by december 2018 around 3$, by december 2020 between 10 - 20$ as a result of global hardware development in the form of laptops capable of supercomputing

that would be an 8 billion dollar marketcap. Like I said, they could reach that but only if they offer more than just the global supercomputing network. Laptops for individual and business use that would operate on the sonm network would be a massive step forward I think

If they could adapt games in a way that would allow for most of the computing to happen remotely without introducing latency that would be a big plus too. People with less money could then rent computing power to play games in 1080p on high settings for example. While hardcore enthusiasts would still end up buying tangible hardware to run 4k@60fps, while also being able to rent out their hardware while they aren't play.

Perhaps there's a way to tap into the ad revenue market as well...

Lots of exciting opportunities for SONM once the main platform is live and functional. Depending on how they play it, it wouldn't be impossible to reach a similar market value as Alphabet or Facebook within a decade.

the best thing about sonm however is the team. A company cann have plans to go to the moon, but if they don't have rocket fuel they can plan all they want. The Sonm team actually has the (intellectual) tools to handle the job

Nobody knows what will happen, but SONM clearly has a lot of potential. But even so, I hope that you didn't go all in on it. Never go all in unless you have very little to lose.

Yeah, I tried not to go all in but it was too tempting especially when the price went down to 1600. Ended up investing a full Bitcoin in to it. I may have made the biggest mistake but oh well. I believe in the project and will keep supporting it though. We'll see what happens.

Agreed, I've been very happy with SONM so far. They clearly know what they are doing. Let's just hope that marketing and mass adoption will work out smoothly as well.

I doubt you've made the "biggest mistake" with SONM. It's very unlikely that you won't be making profits sometime around next year by just holding onto your coins. Since you only went with one Bitcoin that's fine too, it's not enough to be really hit by a loss. But I would spread future Bitcoins into other projects as well. Once you start making bigger profits it'll become more and more important to diversify your portfolio.

Until we have the first version released, I don't see the price of SONM go up.The BTC fork factor has just worsened the price now.The price of SONM would be stabilized only after the first major /subsequent release is made and people rent up their system power.I am expecting this to happen anywhere between 2018-2019.

I dont agree, this whole market is build on speculations. Golem the competitor of SONM has nothing released. only a 6 years roadmap and a whitepaper. SONM already has a product.
It's alpha, but it show that they are working and it could be soon on the market.

SONM is not even on top100 list, i see it as a hidden giant.

I don't see any point in selling... Best to rebuy and not trigger taxes, that way you'll be able to buy stocks or real estate with your profits at some point without having any legal issues.

$1 is still undervalued in this kind of Crypto, but it would take time to hit that kind of value. If SONM would release a new update it would rise up again just like before it reaches near $1.

Somewhat the value is not rising up since a lot of investors dumping their token just to return the money they just invested even though a huge loss.

Honestly now is a great time to buy, don't aim for maximum profits, aim for profits in general. In december the real alpha release (arch) will be launched, no doubt that'll drive the price to a stable 0.4$, in august next year they'll launch their official network, which should drive the price up to its new ATH
