No it's not. When SONM reached or even same as their ICO price? ICO was 5k sat and it was only some days higher than 5k sat then falling down until now below than ICO price (i'm still HODL my SONM though btw)

In term of fiat  this is still profitable for all early investors but if you will go with satoshi than it will create big confusion. What price was eth and btc at the time of pre-ICO and ICO you should compare this into fiat.

i don't think that its high enough. sonm is worth alot more then its current price
sonm 24 hours volume is more then 3 mil and its market cap is 134 million and exceeding
i think son price will soon cross 1$ in Q2 of 2018

   You are expecting too much in so short of time. I only see that SONM has performed AN UPWARD MARKET PERIOD !  What point did you invest? From your entry point and to compare at some any given future point, you want to say that since your very short term comparison is down, you are giving up? I believe you are expecting way too much in such a very very short period of time.....Hold for the long term....

If you sell now you will most definitely regret it. SONM has an excellent team and now some steady growth. It survived the bearish market really good (so far). There are not many projects out there, that are better than SONM. Since most them of them are scams.

At first I start with Boinc computing.
Watching numbers, statistics, setting-up clients and all this funny stuff.
Thought was awesome, I've been supporting this idea for a long time.
Was bakin my old pentium no matter what
Then mining comes in to play, It was interesting as well.
Then I found Folding (FLDC+Cure).
These projects was nice, but after the time it was quite outdated.
Then SONM comes into play.
Sure you can't expect this will change everything, but this will change a lot.
I've waiting for something like this for about 6 years.
Always wanted to building my own PC's and servers, and be rewarded for that.
But I didn't want to be payed only for confirming transactions.
I wanted to put my resources to meaningful thing such a scientific research, medical research,
artificial intelligence, universe knowing. So basically wanted to help a bit to the humans.
So it's nearly here, the BIG party will start in August this year.
And yes, this summer I'm going to build dedicated high performance servers only for this purposes.
It will be lot of fun though.

Agreed with you SONM will be into leading position into this ecosystem they have dedicated dev team and the recent progress is going on into positive direction. I also believe that is great sign for all strong hands to pick this as early retirement plan.

In the start post you say: "SONM offers an opportunity for miners to earn tokens by performing calculations for everyone in the network."

If a miner performs calculations, then there must be some proof of work concept. The miner has to prove that he is actually working on a certain problem. There are problems that are not solvable and nobody can know in advance if a program given to miners will ever finish (see halting problem). Therefore you need some kind of proof of work in order to pay the miners.

In term of fiat  this is still profitable for all early investors but if you will go with satoshi than it will create big confusion. What price was eth and btc at the time of pre-ICO and ICO you should compare this into fiat.

It's all subjective man, it did give you good profit, but the goal generally speaking for most investors is to accumulate the most BTC/ETH possible.  There's no point in selling precious BTC/ETH for something if it's not going to outgrow it for a long period of time and the mainnet is even out.  If the passive income was in effect that would be a different story because you're building a position regardless of whether you beat ICO price.

I like SONM, but if you could've just held my BTC/ETH from ICO, made more money, then bought SONM closer to mainnet at less than ICO BTC/ETH price, who wouldn't do that.

If SONM wants to reach the first place among supercomputers, it needs to get a better PR team.
Having a great project doesn't help, if people don't know about it
