I have not posted in this thread for a very longtime, but actually I am an ICO investor lol. Have been adding to my SONM stack since it became trade able on exchanges.

But I agree the current price is a great moment to enter SONM. But it's still possible this is not the bottom. Getting in on the bottom is very difficult you have to be very skilled or lucky to be able to buy the bottom. Furthermore SONM does not guarantee you quick returns, it's a good long term investment in my opinion.

Today we are running another task using SONM. Neural network(in other words Artificial Intelligence). To solve this task we connected 17 rigs. This means that solving this task is expected to take 15 days. AND this is only 2% of the next task.

We have no minimum hardware requirements. But we must understand that the most profitable will be the equipment that is as productive as possible. Or it has an optimal balance between price and performance. That is, if we are talking about mining farms, then for them the natural phenomenon will be a bias towards powerful video cards along with a low-performance processor and a small amount of RAM. At the same time, such equipment is highly specialized, poorly designed for other tasks, for example, machine learning or rendering. For these use cases, a sufficiently powerful processor and a large amount of RAM are already needed, and an SSD and 16x PCI lines for connecting video cards are also desirable (for more efficient rendering). If we want to connect a mining farm, then mining as part of SONM will work fine, but for other use cases, you may have to rebuild the configuration to improve performance and profit — change CPUs, install SSD, add RAM. Here it is worth clarifying that all this, of course, makes sense if there is a constant amount of tasks in the SONM marketplace that can be calculated to recoup the investment on equipment upgrades. As a result, we come to the fact that a balanced configuration is needed, in which there will be both a GPU and a CPU with enough RAM, a fast SSD disk. Well, do not forget about a good connection to the network. Despite everything written above, we don’t want to limit equipment suppliers to any minimum requirements, because we are trying to build a platform on which to sell any any computing power, even small ones. Therefore, at this moment our requirements are only in the mandatory conditions for installing the platform (Linux-only for suppliers, kernel version 4+). There are no hardware requirements, but suppliers must understand that embedded video cards will not work, just as discrete video cards will not work when installing Linux with SONM on virtual machine. I was looking at the images form those 4 data centers and was imagining at the possibilities once their equipment will connect to SONM permanently in few months. I am not miner but understand little bit and reading the last post on update also help you understand how and what is being done in mining related areas as well. SONM will be future's giant services provider and buying SNM today means investing in your future.
