Will bitcoin be used to support terrorists?

Well, anything can be used to support terrorists. There are no exceptions. Bitcoin may be used as with all kinds of fiat currencies.

FB may be used as also with twitter, television, radio, and you know what? Even religion is not spared. Even god is used to support terrorists, right?

So there is really no special thing about bitcoin if it will be used to support them. The right of course, as you all know, is that there should not be a single thing to be used to support them. Instead, things should be used to stop all them.

With the current status of bitcoin, anybody can use bitcoin and nobody will know who did what and who received what. Of course no one will want to be known to be a terrorist so the best way to transact will be through bitcoin. It is on this note that most authorities, governments included, are reluctant to adopt the use of bitcoin. I think it will take sometime and so many formalities for bitcoin to be universally accepted.

I think this is very possible, bitcoin transactions are anonymous so that anyone who uses is not detected, I'm sure terrorists and illegal transactions are now using bitcoins.

Lot of transactions for the terrorists need might have taken place through bitcoin, though bitcoin is not familiar around similar to USD which is the most used asset for all illegal transactions. In the beginning bitcoin was completely used for illegal and gambling purpose which has slowly grown to this level in the short.

That's right it's the same thing if to ask "has dollar been used for terrorists support?". Bitcoin is the same money like fiat, if you know how to use it - there are no borders for the use.

bitcoin is already being used by many bad guys. but that does not mean that we should do anything to bitcoin because of that. if there was no bitcoin then those bad guys will use any kind of money but still, the will do whatever they are doing. everyone has equal rights on using bitcoin no matter what is the reason of using it but both good and bad uses it. if media wants to highlight these points mainly then they are free to do it and I don't think it will affect the bitcoin price because almost anyone knows that how bad bitcoin is being used for.

But what if bitcoin be used to support some bad organizations, even terrorists? Is this already happening?  What i am worrying is if bitcoin be widely used for bad things, negative news would be all over and bitcoin price will drop. It will lead to tougher regulation. Do u think world leaders are willing to kill btc to make sure they can fight terrirists?

Bad people will always try to misuse things for their own personal gains, it's no doubt that bitcoins will be used to finance terrorism by people who would want their involvement to be anonymous,  I think on that front, I support a regulation of the currency.

Yes bitcoin may be used to support terrorists and at the same time it can be used to help and support poor and needy people too. Just like fiat bitcoin too can be used and misused. If any one of us or if the government of any country think that bitcoin has or may make things easier for terrorists or criminals then it's not true because the terrorism came into existence even when there were no bitcoins. It's the loopholes in government machinery because of which governments all over the world have failed to curb terrorism and there's no fault of bitcoin in it. It is already being used but we cannot do anything about it. Terrorist will use FIAT or any other form of payment as long as it fits in their agenda and helps them achieve their goals. The good thing is that FIAT like dollar is responsible for 99% of terror attacks and only 1% is funded through bitcoin.

In my opinion, yes Bitcoin can be used to support terrorists and maybe, while we are talking about this, some transactions were made for this kind of funding. This result of Bitcoin can not be denied.

Bitcoin will be " bad " if it's use to something illegal like terrorism. Bitcoin itself has nothing to do with this activity. This will all depend on how the person use this, will it be use in good or bad it doesn't matter because bitcoin is pseudonym and no one can control this.

Offcourse bitcoin can fund terrorism just like any fiat. Let me make it clear that the main funders of terrorists are none but governments of many countries. Such governments can easily fund terrorist with fiat without getting caught as they are in direct contact with them.

Now lets come to bitcoin. Bitcoin can indeed be used to fund terrorism, but there will be a path; the path may well be encrypted, but there will still be a path. Bitcoin will present tools that the state may well choose to use to track terrorist funding. Which wasn't possible with fiat.

It is pretty possible. Btc provides anonimyty and it's safe to use as for normal people, so as for terrorists, but I doeson't meen that btc should be banned. Terorist also use cars but we don't bann them, do we?
