On March 8th, Cheollima Civil Defense(CCD) released a video on its website claiming:” Han Sol, the son of Kim Jong Nam, and two other family members were met quickly and relocated to safety. “ And they receive bitcoin for financial support. http://news.8btc.com/bitcoin-plays-a-role-in-humanitarian-assistance This is something nice to do. But what if bitcoin be used to support some bad organizations, even terrorists? Is this already happening?  What i am worrying is if bitcoin be widely used for bad things, negative news would be all over and bitcoin price will drop. It will lead to tougher regulation. Do u think world leaders are willing to kill btc to make sure they can fight terrirists?
Bitcoin has been all over the internet. One of the bitcoin's nature is its anonymity wherein its users are allowed without validating the users  identity from the different parts of the world. Even transactions on bitcoin are also anonymous. Bitcoin is created to connect people and make transactions from the different parts of the world. There's a lot of possibilities that  bitcoin can be used for transactions of different terrorist group because of its anonymity at the same time bitcoin is not regulated by the  government that's why they can transact freely on it.

Bitcoin is transferable and the transaction that was made by anyone cannot monitor.  So,  it can be used by terrorist or anyone to support  other people.

Sadly yes but lets not overlook the fact that there are other currencies in the world that support illegal activities much more and more frequently. That isn't to say we condone this behavior with Bitcoin, but it is to say if people want to fund illegal activities they will find one way or another to do it.

It could make certain transactions easier though, but the same goes for any new technology. Bad people can always use it for their purposes as well.

This is a possibility, looking at the nature of operations of blockchain system upon which bitcoin and cryptocurrency runs. It is easier to send and receive funds without trace.

Bitcoin does not affect the increase in the number of terrorist groups. Unfortunately, such organizations have existed for a long time, and they use dollars, euros and any other currency. On the contrary, bitcoin will be too inconvenient for them, as it can be tracked.

If then, there might be a weapon dealer or shop accepting bitcoin because if not? how these terrorist able to convert bitcoin into real money? They cannot withdraw because they are wanted and their Identifications are invalid through banks and remittances unless they have normal person who covers them in buying weapons or dealing the ransom.

Yes and its inevitable though, one of the reason that bitcoin is good for terrorism activity is its anonimty. Its sad that there are people that uses it in negative way that suppose to be used in possitive.Bitcoin is made for the goodness of the people and not to destroy the people.

Do you think that those terrorist organisations are not making use of other payment mediums like wire transfer or western union ? Are you going to ban all these payment mediums just because some terrorists are using it. There is no fault of payment system (bitcoin in this case). Instead of taking steps like banning bitcoins due to such activities, the governments should focus on ways to control the misuse. Since these terrorists organisations deal in huge amount of money, their activities can be traced with the help of bank authorities and bitcoin exchanges.

Bitcoin like the euro or the dollar is nothing but a form of "exchange" called money. Therefore just like other currencies can be used for anything.

it can happen but it's quite unlikely. Terrorist are dealing with cash, they have their ways already, they don't need bitcoin. As these people have money and infrastructure. Bitcoin is traceable at the end of the day

The thing with bitcoin is it is not anonymous, it's like the old addgae that Bitcoin is used mainly by drug dealers, in fact it seems at about 3% from market such as on the deep web and other off chain transactions, how many percent of paper and coin money is used for drugs and terrorists, I wonder... Governments will probably know of course.

If that happens, bitcoin industry will be affected and its trust rate will be affected too.If once that bitcoin were used for committing crimes, many people would think that bitcoin can be bad and it can cause them to stop or not to use bitcoin.

Hi there Doofus, long before bitcoin reach to the streamline there are hundreds and thousands of individuals who have used bitcoin to buy illegal stuffs like drugs. It is not far from letting terrorist knew the advantage of it or maybe before you and I even knew about bitcoin, they are using it year ahead of us. But still the price don’t drop but it even continuous to increase year by year.

It is possible, not only Bitcoin but every cryptocurrencies can be used to support terrorists as long as you can do a peer to peer and you can cash out or convert those coins to flat. There are circumstances in the past that Bitcoin are being used to buy smuggled items and drugs so supporting a terrorist group is not that hard if someone will going to do that.

Bitcoin can be used for anything even to fund crime such as terrorists, because a lot of money earned from bitcoin and bitcoin can not be traced for its use.

Bitcoin is being used by netizens, there is no one that is manipulating or leading the bitcoin but the netizens are the one that may affects the price of bitcoin. So if there is no people that is using it then probably that it cant aupport the terrorist but if people are the one who are supporting it and gives their money to the terrorist then, it may affect their profit.
