Can I suggest a new moderated thread when the team get their ducks in line and have a new website and someone to do the graphics etc. All great coins early on get FUDed to death because traders are frustrated they can't buy a large amount cheap so they want the price drop.

agree.  so have meny  fud  on xby

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

XBY is posted among the hottest BTC markets in C-CEX. One of the top trading volume coins on Yobit too. That's interesting, looks like the coin has been drawing some attention lately (or someone been using his funds to create the appearance of that). Still waiting for further explanation from devs about PoSign and stuff

it all sounds good in theory, a little bit too good honestly i just wonder if they have plans to actually make it or just keep the plates spinning till they can dump?

Im serious, not fuding, just wondering what this really is...

This guy is 1000% troll... he just made a total fool of himself on our Slack:

I'm starting to wish you guys did lose all your coins

No kidding...

you seemed to of missed out the parts where i asked you questions about distribution etc you refused to answer.

i dont understand why you are acting like a baby about distribition. the biggest whale after ccex and yobit wallets has 40m coins which is only 20 btc worth. ive bpught about 1m coins now for about 0.5btc. you can buy 1% of the coin now today for 5btc! its people own stupidity if they dont buy cause the market has been there to buy for ages and stiĺl is.

why not buy instead of acting like a fool.

My Question:

OPTIONAL

6.) Creating EARNINGS Wallet:

a.) Type the following commands: mkdir earnings (click enter) [Please notice the name of the directory now... this is the EARNINGS directory and this is where you could send all your SHOCK earnings if you wish to keep them separate from your MAIN SPENDABLE wallet.]
d.) Type the following commands: w6xupxtrabytes-qt.exe -datadir=earnings (click enter) [Now a new version of the XtraBYtes wallet will start and this will be empty (assuming you have coins in your MAIN "spendable" wallet) and therefore it is a completely different wallet.]
e.) Copy-paste your RECEIVE address and IDENTIFY it as your EARNINGS wallet.
f.) You can use this wallet address for your STaTiC registration and if you have multiple wallets, you can use this same address for all your SHOCK rewards to be deposited from each of your STaTiC nodes.

Should this receive adress from step 6) be inserted in the spendable wallet address of the static nodes?
              g.) Close the wallet

We need to get Xtrabytes on Coin Telegraph, I'm sure that will explode the price. Dev can you look into that. Just to spread the word.

Normally I would say making a forum once a coin has matured is a good idea but i think even soon a dedicated forum would be a good idea.

Proof of Signature Basic Introduction
The PoSign Mining is very easy to understand....

Isn't the tradeoff with static nodes is this coin becomes more centralized relative to bitcoin, to a max number of 650 static nodes?

How will static nodes handle DDOS protection?

If there is a price spike and 90% of static nodes owners liquidate, won't the network be much less secure?

Long term turnover of static nodes will eat away at the static node count over time. I don't think freezing the static node count from an early block is a good idea.

Sooner or later you will have to deal with turnover. You could setup a lottery, or static nodes compete on price, or a first come first serve basis: i.e. 300 nodes max, if the number drops below 300 then the wallet that has been signalling for static node upgrade the longest is upgraded to static node on the network.

Probably a question for the developer in the slack.

Anyone have a link to the rich list?

I have a question:

Whats the benefit for a user to setup a static node. I mean from a technical point of view, i understand the necessity, but from a user perspective why should i setup one? Maybe i am missing something but didnt see any benefit for the regular Joe to setup one.

You receive an income, with nodes normally a very good one.

Good day Everyone!

There have been some fantastic ideas and suggestions, along with endorsements and other ideas over the last 36 hours since we released our info. Thank you all for this support and encouragement!!

As we have always maintained and will forever maintain... XtraBYtes is a community coin and together we will build success.

With that said, I want to start assembling the committee that was suggested by CCNCCN a few days back. Anyone interested in taking part in some of the higher level decision making, in addition to Borzalom, myself and CCNCCN, please contact me by PM or join us in the Slack @ https://xtrabytes.slack.com/shared_invite/MTcwODkwNDUzMDU2LTE0OTI2MjQ2NzktYTAxZTFlYTUzOA .

Please be advised that your access to the committee requires an external wallet with sufficient XBY to own at least 1 STaTiC node (1.000.100 plus fees).

Thank you and have an AWESOME day!!

Yes, thank you for your assistance Troy.

In the not too distant future, XtraBYtes will begin selling decentralized shared hosting to the internet market. This will compete with large "centralized" companies that offer online storage and these companies are effectively hackable because they have a central location and point of attack. Therefore, this is not the best solution for people with sensitive documents and everyone knows this.

XtraBYtes will compete with other companies in the crypto world that offer "decentralized" online storage, which are NOT hackable because there is no central point of attack.

Without getting into more details or comparisons, I will just say that our closest competitor charges 1.5 cents USD per GB per month and 5 cents USD per GB downloaded.

All these fees are included in what the STaTiC nodes will be paid.

Each ONLINE STaTiC node during the block groups will be paid an EQUAL share of these profits.

There is no corporation set up yet, but we believe there will be something in place (will be decided by the committee we are forming) and whatever expenses occur from the corporation will obviously take away from the profits... However, a corporate face can and will skyrocket XtraBYtes into the mainstream, which means higher and higher XBY prices and this in turn increases the SALEABLE value of your STaTiC node as an income producing asset..

So, all of this is being constructed at this point, but this is the direction we are heading.

Thank you for your great question!!

My Question:

OPTIONAL

6.) Creating EARNINGS Wallet:

a.) Type the following commands: mkdir earnings (click enter) [Please notice the name of the directory now... this is the EARNINGS directory and this is where you could send all your SHOCK earnings if you wish to keep them separate from your MAIN SPENDABLE wallet.]

f.) You can use this wallet address for your STaTiC registration and if you have multiple wallets, you can use this same address for all your SHOCK rewards to be deposited from each of your STaTiC nodes.

Should this receive adress from step 6) be inserted in the spendable wallet address of the static nodes?
              g.) Close the wallet

Yes, this is done if you wish to have a SEPARATE wallet to know your income without having to sift through your transactions on the MAIN wallet.

Keep in mind that when you download the QT for the first time, this creates a wallet... this is what we call the MAIN wallet and this can also be your SPENDABLE wallet if you do not wish to create another. The system will default to this address for payment if you do not specify the EARNINGS wallet for payment in the STaTiC node setup.

For a small fee,you can submit to Novaexchange and since there's already had a strong community support and many are now coming in to supprt this coin, you can submit it to their trading platform you only need 250 votes and every users can vote once daily.

Thank you Aoic! We have discussed this exchange a few days ago and it did not appeal to anyone.

I personally fee we should focus on getting listed on Bittrex and as another member suggested, Polo may pick us up if we continue growing organically like this...

What are the benefits of being on smaller exchanges like Nova and others? What are the MAJOR Altcoin exchanges we should be shooting for other than Bittrex and Polo?

Can we please have some opinions with regard to setting up a listing on Nova?

Thank you!!

I think that it is better to spread after the whitepaper comes out

This may not be a bad idea... however we are a long way from being ready with the whitepaper.

This is new technology, it is experimental... Borzalom is building and tweaking all the time... The job is getting done, don't misunderstand and he will create magic, but the whitepaper cannot be completed until we have everything up and running 100% because this is what the whitepaper is all about.

This is why we are "estimating" a 2 to 3 month timeline for the whitepaper...

Do we have an estimate when static node registration completion will be launched?

It sounds like the next version will be available at any point, but we are not going to put timelines anymore... Borzalom is using every available amount of time he has to get this set up working 100%. He does not want a messy blockchain being released.

What I can suggest is for everyone to practice the setup steps... and also (for anyone who has not already done so) take the time to review the history of XtraBYtes on the 3 different forums (start with the ANN and down the page you will see links that go back) and once you see that everything is genuine and as we say... buy more XBY or spread the word.

An informed community is a STRONG community...

Thank you for being part of the XtraBYtes!!

Can I suggest a new moderated thread when the team get their ducks in line and have a new website and someone to do the graphics etc. All great coins early on get FUDed to death because traders are frustrated they can't buy a large amount cheap so they want the price drop.

agree. I wonder if we should change the name later. its fine for crypto but its not very user friendly if average people use it.

A new moderated thread may be something to consider and we will discuss the PROS and CONS of this in the newly forming committee (if interested in being on the committee, please see this post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1864397.msg18740035#msg18740035 )

Changing the name? You mean to not use XtraBYtes?

I personally believe this is the most powerful brand name we could ever ask for in the space we are entering. We can and will build massive campaigns around this name.

I am about as worried about the FUD and Trolls as I am about going to the bathroom later... but if they lie and are rude, they are shown the door with truth and collective hammers.  Cool

Anyone informed by reading our thread is a solid supporter of XBY and XtraBYtes. We do not need to worry about the people saying bad things in an effort to drive down the price of the coin so that they can buy low and sell high...

It's all good and just brings more attention Smiley

bought some more while at work computer. hopefully wont be fired for doing  Grin

I dont know why the price has not rocketed yet. but kind of gllad it hasnt yet.

Talk to your boss, he/she might thank you for introducing them to a great way to earn extra money! Wink

I have been trading in these markets for about 18 months and I have seen that in general when a coin does a news release, the price normally goes down afterwards (even if the news is good) and ours did also, but after the release it was like being in the twilight zone  Grin There was ZERO reaction for a fairly considerable amount of time while people read and digested what we released... I think we made a big impact!

Then by the next day we had haters standing at the door... and slowly the price went down because there will always be people unsure and they sell. Otherwise, we have maintained what is the current floor price of XBY and that is the 40 to 45 satoshi range.

So, this shows us that we have raised the floor price by 4000% to 4500% in the last week and soon I think we will see the price starting to rise again to the next floor price. This will continue for several months as we release more and more information and sections of the coming XtraBYtes technology.

Don't sell your XBY... buy more so you can be a STaTiC Wink
