I don't support the death penalty as I feel it is a quick way out for criminals. Being placed in a cell for a lifetime with nothing to do seems like a much better punishment as they will have to suffer in a cell.

I have met many people same attitudes that what you got here, most of them are Muslims, If the death penalty makes a country crime free then Saudi Arabia should be the most crime-less country in the world. Because Sharia law is there.  But still there are plenty of Crimes in Saudi Arabia. So it is  clear Punishments are not a solution for Crimes ( But I doesn't mean we shouldn't punish at all)

Mamy people said they were against death penalty saying that only God can take the life of every human. However for my opinion, I was in favor on it. Specially in my country were crimes are very serious that the government was not able to control. Example of this was rape, murder and very serious crime was drugs. Since the people know that they will only be in jailed and there is possibiloty to be free, then they were not afraid to do the crime. If the country impose death penalty, the suspect will think twice before doing the crime. These are the reasons why I am in favor of death penalty.

In our country, death penalty hasn't yet revived but the government has been planning in returning it. My stand to death penalty would be I'm on pro death penalty. I know that It's not right to end life based on the bible but no one would face this consequence if we don't breach laws. And with this, it will lessen crime or even eradicate it if this death penalty will be properly implemented.

Personally, I'd say the death penalty isn't very effective. Murder rates are higher in states with death penalty...

Do you have any proof for that? Most of the cities with the highest homicide rates in the world doesn't have the death penalty (Caracas, Acapulco, San Pedro Sula, Tegucigalpa.etc). And there can be another argument regarding it. I would say that countries with the higher homicide rates usually go for the death penalty, in an attempt to reduce the crime rate.

Death penalty is good for severe cases like rape and murder but for a country where justice is not fair where there are innocent people get to jail because some lawyers get paid by the opponents, death penalty is a bad option to think of.

Yes agree that's  my opinion too which I already mentioned in a above comment. ones who have some kind of civil power can bend the law as he wish against a poor person and eventually drag him to the jail

I think it's the right thing to do. People need to have fear so that they wouldn't do bad. This is a form of justice to them.

People should not be the judges of life or death. Even if someone did something so brutal that the only punishment we can think of is dead.
We are all sinners and sinner should not judge a sinner. We never know what life can bring and what can happen to us tomorrow. I am just thinkg

Oh really? So in your opinion only the rapists and the murderers have the human rights? What about their victims? What about those little children who were raped by perverts and as a result traumatized for the rest of their lives? Don't you think that they deserve these human rights? When an individual commits a crime, he forgoes his right to be treated humanely.

I support Deathpenalty, for it is for those who kill innocent people and for crimes that raped children and women This should be implemented here in the Philippines

Every society should have tolerance level to crime.Once any body crosses that
pardonable or bailable threshold, he or she should be stopped so as to serve
as deterrent to others who may wish to toe the same vicious line in the society.
If Europe manufactures Midazolam as a death drug, we expect to see more of its
usage from European continent than the western world or any other continent.
That way, we note they walk the talk indeed.

I think it is very sad because God always forgive his servant why we do not, but we are equally creatures that do not escape from sin, so forgive.

disregarding my religious belief, I truly believe that death penalty gives justice to the victim and his/her family, and somehow it makes the bad guys think twice before committing hideous crimes. I'd say that I support death penalty if this will lead to peaceful community where all of us will benefit.

I really think that death penalty is necessary, especially to those people who have commited heinous and indespicable crimes. I don't think that we should consider someone to live knowing they took multiple murders and brutal incidents, don't we?

Death penalty for drug lord,rapist and terrorist. For me its ok have death penalty, for the crime I list, cause that crime have many lost lives specially using drugs.
