I really don't believe that Manchester United would want him because Manchester United has a lot of problems already which they need to solve quickly. Yeah, his best games were against direct opponents, but those aren't are toughest games. He's physical, he's strong as you say, but I was really surprised we still went for him despite him playing quite badly against us on both legs when he was still at Leipzig. I thought that proved he wasn't a fit -- but then yeah, I'm not saying he can't improve, he's still very young for a CB, 8 more years to get to VVD's age, I suppose one could point to 22 yr old VVD who was just as clumsy (and had a temper to boot).
