I think it's lot more complicated than that. Nkunku is a crucial player for Leipzig and they need him this season. Also lot of clubs have him on the list so lot of clubs would have been in race for Nkunku in next transfer window so Chelsea just booked him for next season. Nothing to disappoint there.
