for me, the reason behind this rejection is not Real Madrid, but if you follow the transfer and drama that Mbappe carried out last season, you certainly won't say that Real Madrid made Mbappe leave PSG for free.

It's a player's decision if he wants to stay in a club or leave, also it depends on his contract signed with the team as well as the teams decision to either keep him or let him go. For Mbappe, his stay in the team beyond and after the expiration of the contract seems to be dependent on his intentions as well as the teams performance in the long run.

The only thing that we can confirm right now is that he will not be renewing his contract with PSG. Fabrizio Romano had said this probably 1 month ago.
