I don't think those are the kind of players monaco needs to get back to winning ways again in the ligue 1. Both players are above 30 in age and have passed their prime years. Perisic for example has featured in over 31 games for Bayern Munich and only produced 6 goals and 7 assists. Mandjukic is  34 and already retired from International games. He's not as sharp as he used to be. Monaco's best bet now is to get some promising youngsters. Their downfall came after selling players like  Mbappe, Fabinho and Mendy.

I think for Mario Mandzukic look possibility to League one with AS Monaco but for Ivan Perisic still have chance with Bayrern Munchen, this first yearn with Bayern and never left his club early, maybe Bayern want to borrow Ivan Perisic to AS Monaco. Looking on the table As Monaco is not favorite team for many player because miss from Champion League next season and bring bad result for many players want to join with AS Monaco.

It depends on what the team needs. I am not so familiar with Monaco squad at the moment but if they already have young talented squad then you often need 2 players like Mandzukic and Perisic to add a bit of experience. Both of them are very experienced and hard workers. Niko Kovac is a manager that puts a lot of emphasis on hard work and he has already worked with this 2 players inside Croatian representation. He knows exactly what they will bring to the club and probably counts on them too help ease the transition for other players.

Kovac has some rigorous training regimes and he has had problems with players discipline before, maybe this is a way to prevent something like that happening again. It is much easier for young, talented and often hot headed player to accept such treatment when he sees a 34 year guy doing the same thing and doing it better than himself

Mandjukic and Perisic are good players and they can help to make a team better for sure .
Dont know if they fit into the Team of Monaco , they played very well at Bayern Munich and have a lot of Experience.
Guess its the connection to Bayern from Kovac and the will get to Monaco.

In my opinion it would be pretty sad for us FC Bayern fans, if Thiago leaves, but if he want to have a new experience at the end of his career that's understandable I guess.

@bullrun2020bro @DeathAngel yea he’ll most likely sign for Liverpool as Liverpool want to spend less in this transfer window, and $30 million is a bargain for a player of his caliber but the final call will be of Kloop, who’s been silent on this transfer hence we’ll have to wait and see whether he approves this transfer or no. Also it seems that Manchester City has moved ahead in the race to sign Kalidou Koulibaly, but I’m sincerely hoping that Manchester United will wake up and sign him as we desperately need a defender like him.

I already seen this news meaning it's seeming to be true, whole truth is this, Thiago Alvantara is a good player with creativity and team coordination. A good player is not just laying passes but how "leading order" spirit possess, attaching with Mario Mane and Fermino could really be a perfect match cos scorer firmino fast and smartness would hit goals via passes from Alcantara. Well, they can definitely get those players if they have enough money but at the same time we are talking about the French league there, sure it would help them get better but PSG will be basically champions year after year after year unless something unexpected happens.

The difference between PSG and other teams are not even close, there needs to be like 3-4 injuries all at the same time to make them play a bit worse and maybe not have a chance. Considering all of this, if monaco just aims for champions league type of thing, like top three team, that means these players would definitely help. Will they be enough all by themselves? I don't know. Maybe they would need more players, but I know that it cant "hurt" their chances if they got these players, they are definitely good players.

Lampard is a manager that loves giving chances to English players and Odoi might be one of them.

 Well champions league is this years champions league, so they should definitely stay and play for their current season teams before they leave. However I am not entirely sure if that will happen and don't know transfer deadline dates. For example there was plenty of players who were loaned to other teams and usually the loan is until June 30 and those players were taken back and haven't played for their loaned team for the past 24 days. Not all loaned players but some of them. So at the end of the day I am not entirely sure which rule would apply, will they go because it is transfer period, or will they stay because its this years champions league. I however believe that if the player is gone its gone, no need to just try to get couple games out of them.

I agree that Mandzukic and Perisic are indeed good players, they have shown us many times about it. Especially Mandžukić, he became one of the players who have good contributions in his previous clubs, Bayern Munich, Atlético Madrid, and Juventus. But lately, I didn't know about his performance anymore because he just joined a small club. But I believe that Mandžukić is still Mandžukić, he is a great strike that has outstanding scoring instinct. While Perisic, he is a creative and fast left-winger and seems fits with Monaco. Well, they surely deserve to consider by Monaco. Two big players from Croatia.

The Monaco coach was once the captain of the Croatia national team and if he want 2 Croatian players as the key to help Monaco i believe he completely understand what he's doing because he's aware of the players capacity than us and what he need to do to awaken their potential. However, Mandjukic have good knowledge in goal scoring.

MarioMandzukic have done with Juventus after one years without get in Juventus team, I think will give bad reputation for his career if keep playing with Juventus, he has move to other club and guarantee with minute playing in the field. Maybe AS Monaco become good choose because there have good mielfilder Cesc Farbregas and become good team at the next season.

Mario Mandzukic is a free agent after he terminated his contract with Qatar's Al-Duhail. Fiorentina and the Turkish giants Galatasaray and Fenerbahce showed the great interest in him. On the other hand, Perisic spent the season on loan at Bayern and they will certainly not buy his contract from Inter.
All in all, this could be a good move for Monaco.

I think that Mandzukic is done. He practically missed a whole season, got a few games in Qatar without even scoring a single goal and it's doubtful if his head is even in the game anymore.

French league is by far the weakest of the top 5 so he might have a few good games but it is a risk because his ego was bigger than his performances even when he was at his peak. Now performances have dropped, but ego remains. Will be fun to see if Kovac can work with him.

Perisic on the other hand would fit well in Monaco and in french league in general.

I think Madjukic probably lacks serious challenges and serious football leagues, which could motivate him.
When he is fully motivated and focused, then he is the most dangerous and born killer in front of the opponent's goal.
A return to a serious league, such as the French one, could revive his spirit and motivate him to show what he knows and can do.
Kovac certainly knows him well and knows very well what he can get from him.
Bayern will almost certainly not buy Perisic from Inter due to too high a salary, and the Inter coach doesn't want him either.
Given that, Monaco would also be the best career-saving option for him and with his experience he can certainly help the club.
