it's ironic that Atletico got Suarez and now a replacement for him and Barcelona is yet to get a proper striker for him. And don't even mention that they have Braithwaite because he is shit and he doesn't even deserve to be in the bench of the second team for Barcelona. The next few years it's going to be a difficult period for Barcelona that will see them stay away from the spotlight for some time.

Seems that Schalke have contacted Huntelaar to join them to prevent degradation. He already played at Schalke between 2010-2017.
His contract at Ajax ends this season so he won't cost that much I guess.

If Mbappè will end in renewing his contract there is no way Real will have the money to buy him.

If this happens, it's gambling. They signed Zlatan and it looks like they had success with the transfer. Despite his advanced age, Zlatan has become a key player for AC Milan. I think they also think the same about Mario Mandzukic he will be successful at AC Milan even though he is old. I don't know why Pioli would prefer Mario Mandzukic over looking for a younger striker. If the need is short, maybe Mario Mandzukic can be an alternative to Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Rafael Leao in attack if injured. But maybe seeing his age he will only last 1-2 years. If AC Milan gets Mario Mandzukic at a low price, it doesn't matter because he is not a match for the club's long-term progress.

I hope that is not the case. Don't get me wrong he is not a terrible player, but when you come from likes of Diego Costa and Suarez, Dembele is not remotely the same level of talent if you ask me. Dude is fine but he is not enough if you want to be at the top of the list.

I think for me, Dembele is sort of like the talent you keep feeling is there,,, but you never really get to see it all or see it consistently, and injuries is part of that issue (then again, Costa and Suarez and players like Kane or Bale always get injuries too but nobody questions their consistency when they are fit).

The bad side of being both a rich and a poor team that had some success is that everyone wants a lot of money from you. Barcelona is a very very good team historically, probably one of the best if not the best, and they do have a huuuge revenue as well (maybe not this year obviously) which means whenever they try to get a player, everyone asks for a lot more than what the player actually worths, which ends up with absolutely humiliation when player doesn't play well, Barcelona made few transfer mistakes and that cost them too much money and they are stuck now because they neither have money nor the ones they paid premium amount ended up being good.

This is why they couldn't get another player instead of suarez, because anyone they wanted to get cost way too much and only one they got turned out to be not fit for the club and the tactics.

I think I saw same news somewhere in forum. Schalke 04 needed some good players in their squad. They are struggling right now both defensively and attacking wise but seems like these transfers would probably plug some holes for the moment. I still feel that they don't need someone old like Huntelaar. Doesn't feels like a good solution, though would work out for a while but feels like it would be same afterwards.

However, I have heard rumors that Brazilian striker Pato is close to returning back to Milan, in which case Mandjukic is likely to drop out.

Well he scored still a lot at Ajax since his return. He can be the player they need to get some more goals.

 He knows Schalke well so he doesn't need much time to get known to the club. Maybe even some old teammates are still playing there. Haven't checked that yet.

And it would just be for a half year.

This is not the kind of signing I'm expecting from An Milan especially now that they are back to reclaim their lost glory, Ibra won't be with them for along time, AC needs to secure a world class players and not all these old outdated players. In my opinion Mandzukic is the right player for AC Milan, even though he is 35 years old as long as he can still contribute, there is nothing wrong
with recruiting Mandzukic. Regarding Diego Costa, this player should be avoided, because in addition to his expensive salary, Diego Costa has
bad emotions too. Moreover, if you see his declining performance when he played for Atletico Madrid, very unworthy of signing Diego Costa.

That's great. This would make Schalke 04 have him even more. 

It's just my thought - Eredivisie and Bundesliga levels are different. And 37 year old is moving to a better league so it sounds like Schalke are playing a bit of gamble to me. There have been many players who have struggled adjusting into better leagues plus Bundesliga is not similar as it was when he was at Schalke. Lot of things have changed.

Although I think it still will be a good deal considering he wouldn't cost much considering his age and contract he has left but still even if they do sign him it would be better if they find another attacking option in this transfer window to play  alongside Huntelaar.
