Yep, I have seen it on PSG official instagram channel. I am not surprised since it was what I guessed before. Messi needs a club that has the ability to pay his salary and promising enough for him to play regularly there. PSG is a perfect place for him to play, it has a very strong attacking line with Mbappe and Neymar there. Now PSG main attackers will be Neymar-Mbappe-Messi, very ideal to catch UCL trophy this season.

It looks like PSG have ended their interest in Manchester Utd midfielder Paul Pogba (28). After signing Messi, they have used their financial power fully. There are even some rumours like they violated the financial rules while signing Messi. So, it seems like just a dream for PSG to go for more transfers.

Lol just think of the bench they would have if they bought Paul Pogba too. Their reserve team would probably finish 2nd in the French League. Their reserves are worth more than a lot of other teams combined. PSG should be banned for transfers if FPP was applied to big teams but they will not because the big teams bring in the money.

I completely agreed with you with regards to the present squad of PSG, the first team is star-studded there is no need of signing Pogba again, and I believe the main Target of PSG this season is to win the UCL, winning  their domestic league (ligue 1 )will be very easy and look like a walkover, none of the domestic league club can put up a challenge to them, even the stronger clubs like Lille, Monaco, Lens and Marseille can't beat them.

FFP will probably be fully scrapped in the next few years. It did not work anyway, clubs with rich owners always found ways to pump money into their clubs through fake sponsorship deals or by paying player bonuses through different endorsements that did not go directly through the club. Best example is how PSG bought Neymar - through Qatar's World Cup endorsement.

It was a decent idea but had terrible implementation, eventually the rich clubs increased the gap instead of reducing it.
SuperLeague is not a solution though, far from it. At least not in the format that was recommended.

He is already proven, even to end his career right now. About his professionalism vs. money, I am not sure what is here more important for them. He takes the best contract which he can get and will play in an incompetent league. now he will break records, scoring many goals against poor teams.

He is almost at the end of his career now though,,, and money for sure, is a factor, but when you are as rich and famous as he is, what is the difference of 80 million a year and 50 million a year? To use a platform to get more fame, more challenge, to make your brand even more famous and expensive,,, this is to me worth much more in the long run when he retires and he can have his pick of sponsorships and ambassadorships.

Anyway too late to discuss as he is already in Paris. I hope he gets what he wants there and still looks for a bigger challenge in the next season after.

Thats exactly what i say all the time and said already last year that Bayern Munich will be try to get him at some stage from Dortmund ,
they have done the same with Lewandowski back in the days when he was getting very good in Dortmund and a year after that they catched him.
The same will be happen with Haaland next year after he finished this season in Dortmund , think on me when its happen.

As far as I hear now, many clubs are in crisis (including Barcelona, which has more than a billion dollars in debt), so many players become free agents (like Messi) and are given to the clubs for free. Given the huge savings on transfers, clubs may well provide pre-crisis salaries for most players, but nevertheless here and there I hear salaries go down even for star players.

A team of the then absolute superstars like Zidane, Ronaldo, Raul, Beckham, etc., which could never get a great triumph. I think the same will happen with this team. FFP is suppose to stop the big teams from buying players that tips the balance of the league in their favor but they are the ones that get away with look at Real Mardrid and now PSG as example and the smaller teams are still held to FFP and cannot afford the lawyers that big clubs can afford. I think Manchester City not long ago hired lawyers and got away with their suspension and only paid a fine.

This would work, why I think it would is that, I won't compare them with the the Galaxy of Stars Real madrid had, but PSG has had time to develop even when money was pumped in, from ibrahimovic it was a development to be bonafide champions of france and they did it in such a fashion that seems like they not only own paris but the league, players want to play for PSG, many times Barcelona went for verrati but didn't get him, so the inclusion of Messi is not going to deprive PSG the hard work they have had, but he is going to compliment them along with the stars and players they have, I think they a my favorite for the UEFA champions league.
