He is surely the right person. He can be positioned on central forward and it looks like a good idea. Ronaldo will have no difficulties adapting to Man City squad because he is a typical player who can follow whatever strategy chosen by the coach. He has experienced it from various clubs and from his national team as well. Also, since Ronaldo can play in some positions in the attacking line, Guardiola can have many options to build the strategy with Ronaldo in the squad.

It is very close and also some reports say that Ronaldo has asked Juventus to let him leave but he won't be leaving for free as he is in contract and maybe City thinks 30m is too much for 36 year old maybe. Right now according to oddschecker.com, Ronaldo to City is at as low as 1/5 and that goes to say how close it is. Still things could change at any point and it is not good to actually rely on bookmakers odds to see but they make the odds after pulling out information from multiple sources-they could be right or could be wrong.

I doubt it, I'm sure the fee is fine. Even if he signed with no transfer fee, they'd be spending more than £30m on his wages anyway, plus a huge signing-on fee. Signing Ronaldo for any fee makes a really powerful statement, and I'm sure that City are desperate to have him... particularly as they have failed in their bid to sign Harry Kane. Getting Ronaldo for a couple of years is a more than good enough replacement.

So things are getting intense these days with CR7 imminent move to City and PSG accepting to discuss Mbappe €180m offer from Real Madrid after a long time of rejecting any deal or to the idea to let him go this summer.
Juve was looking for a swap with GJ from City at the beginning but there is rumors now that they are looking for Aubameyang to replace CR7. I find him an interesting substitute but will Arsenal let him go? €25m value but we all gunners will ask for more especially that his contracts expire in 2023.

Florentino Perez is and has always been known for wanting to sign big and glamorous names for Real Madrid at all costs, whether it makes sporting and financial sense or not. So he would actually be a good fit for Paris Saint Germain  . If I remember correctly, Madrid has almost always been in debt when Perez was the president of the club, so far it has always worked out somehow because the value of the squad was high enough to cover the debt, at least in theory. When Perez was not president between the years of 2006 until 2009 Madrid acted in a more financially responsible way and players like higuain and gago where their biggest stars in that years.

The problem is the same with any club, barring the top few. You want to hold onto your star players. If you let them go, you don't have the pulling power to bring in another global superstar... a problem exacerbated of course by the fact that you've just let your prize asset go and are now seen as a 'selling club'. Same with Villa and Grealish... they wanted to keep him, but Man City triggered his £100m release clause.

You can try and try to hold onto your best players. Maybe you can manage it. If you can't, then your best bet is to buy a few good players with potential, slowly push your way higher in the league, and hope that next time you'll have the power to retain your stars.

I know we are all aware that Mbappe has less than a year left on his contract and if Florentino Perez and Real Madrid can just wait a while they could get him for free or a more reasonable price considering their very huge debt. It feels weird to think Ronaldo in a Guardiola team, it is really not easy to see before it really happens and I would still be shock even after it happens. However Ronaldo is a great player, if City really wants to get him, then I guess it would definitely be a smart move to give him some time before he gets used to it, dude is a great player anyway and I do not think that it will be that hard to adopt him to the team and I believe that he will definitely be a great player.

Let's assume that they manage to get him soon, which will happen if they want to, they were ready to offer 100+ for Kane, I am sure they could get Ronaldo as well. In that case would he be playing pure striker? Or would he be coming from the wings? I am not sure how he will share the spotlight with Jack, they are both great players and it would need to be adopted to new style.

Florentino Perez is an accomplished negotiator and he always has a way to smooth out his plans. The latest news is that Real Madrid has submitted an offer of 180 million Euros to PSG to sign Mbappe and it is very likely that this offer will be accepted by PSG (considering that Mbappe's contract only has a year remaining and Mbappe doesn't seem to want to extend the contract).

Instead of losing Mbappe for free then PSG should accept an offer from Real Madrid unless PSG believes that Real Madrid will still increase their offer or there are other clubs who want to buy Mbappe at a high price. But the transfer window will close soon, so it looks like PSG will accept this offer from Real Madrid.
