He waited for last days and signed the contract, if there were other options with better salary I'm sure he wouldn't sign to Salernitana. I don't think they can stay in Serie A this season, even with Ribery. The money is good for an old player, I don't expect much performance from him. Even if he wanted to, his body would limit his capacity so much that he can't put good performance in Serie A quality. Maybe in lower or minor leagues he could play better. We don't see 38 year old players in major leagues, except goalkeepers which is whole different thing.

If Chelsea didn't win the 2020/2021 champions league a few months ago and then doing all these mega trsnsfers, I would've said their goal for such investments was to win it but since they've already won it and are still investing this much into their squad, I don't know their target. It's just good to see Tuchel getting full support from the board to pursue whichever player he wants to bring into the team. Sane is a solid player and I've loved seeing him play even when he was at a rival club (city). If Chelsea can get him, it'd be great but not sure Bayern will makeit easy for them.

Ronaldo playing in the MLS doesn't seem impossible to me, if his performance drops significantly that big clubs won't want him, MLS could be his destination to still get the spotlight and also some cash, but going back to Portugal as you said seems more rational, but I think he might go back to Sporting Lisbon, I don't think it's going to be Porto.

I also think that James Rodriguez should try to extend his contract with Everton or leave the team for a decent club in the same or another league.
