I am not really sure that the Bayern officials really think that Barcelona won't exist anymore in a few years because i doubt that they would say such a thing about a respected competitor.
That being said, it is no secre that Barcelona has debts of more than 1,3 Billion € which is an absolutely huge number. There was a club meeting a few weeks back where all the club members voted about important decisions and they decided that Barca sells his Merchandise Brand, part of it's TV rights and other stuff in order to generate around 600 Million € of income.
For me it is still hard to understand they that they want to take a big part of that 600 M€ to invest into new players, that is absolutely irresponsible in my opinion. They should not even be allowed to do that in my opinion. They should bring their debts down to a normal level first (below 500 M€ or something) before they start paying a lot for new players again, but that is not the spanish way i guess.

Barcelona should not go for such a big investment in any player because it is going to be very problematic for them. I also think that they should not be able to spend their money like that. First of all, they should bring down the amount of debt that they have. I think it was a bold statement by Bayern Munich to say that Barcelona is not going to exist in two or three years.

It is very possible that they get in huge trouble for not being able to pay the debt that they have. But probably that will cause them to get relegated. I don’t know about you’ll but I strongly feel that this is an arm twisting method by Ronaldo to force Manchester United to pay him his full salary, because currently all player’s are hit with a 25% deduction in their salary due to the failure of not reaching the champions league. Arsenal new signings means the duo of Nicolas Pepe and Leno will be surplus to the club, the brilliant and oustanding performance of Ramsdale last season had completely confined Leno to the bench, of course he was  the former first choice goalkeeper but due to his inconsistent and always conceding cheap goals that was reason for sitting on the bench, Arsenal had already signed Matt Turner from MLS in case Leno leaves, Pepe has no option than to seek for club elsewhere because he won't guarantee a regular playing time with calibre of quality attacking and offensive players Arsenal just signed, however his high sign-on fee may wade off potential buyers.

Most times it is difficult getting a player during the transfer window for some reasons. We assume the club is not doing their best to get these players, there may be some factors stalling the process, one of this factor is the player's choice of destination.
