Zinedine Zidane has newly turned down an offer by United States. I'm not surprised at all.

Because he hasn't been thinking of being the manager of any club for a long time. To be honest it would be better to see him managing a club in Europe rather than a national team. I remember his successes with Real Madrid very well. They had great a few years with Zidane full of Champions League championships as well. It is impressive to watch a tactician like Zidane to manage a big team. Maybe it wouldn't be Real Madrid again but I wouldn't say no to a different big team this time.

I don't seem to understand what Zidane really wants, is it to coach a country side team or to coach a club team because I read some days after the world cup that Zidane was considering taking up the coaching role for the french national team and later head the current coach was to be retained. Something tells me Zidane is just looking for an already made team to take over with less stress.

Maybe he doesn't fancy to work with this team. I feel he will prefer to work for the French team which is his home team but the French team still had to retain the present the current coach.

Well this zidane case is very unique ... he seems had a strange interest and a bit moody. He leave real madrid at his peak coaching career & won a Lot of things that time , having multiple crazy offer on the table after that and yet he refused to comeback to coaching for no reason .

He won't in rush taking any job ... he could go anywhere with his track record.

It is possible that at an old age, Zidane does not want to train a club he doesn't like, while if a club is liked by Zidane, it might be easy for Zidane to accept, but this does not provide a guarantee to be able to get Zidane back into the world of football, so far Zidane is still enjoying his old age with lots of money and being able to go anywhere without any pressure from the world of football.

He is typical a perfectionist person.

A guy with full of grateful and have less ambition , when he decided to leave real madrid at his peak performance as a coach he says that he just want to have a life outside football thingy and with his earnings during the successful campaign with real madrid , it's more than enough for him to living the life for the rest of his life. That's how zidane make these decision , hard to convince him back.

So far, the last news was that they are still targeting Cody Gakpo though but I dont think they'll going to be able to sign him and there isnt that many options left for January transfer

My advise to Harry Maguire is for him to leave Manchester United if he has the opportunity. He really got a bad season with the club last year and an average Manchester United fan doesn't like Maguire.

I believe Manchester United are desperately in need of a natural striker who can fill in the number 9 position or departed Ronaldo. Choulo-Moting might not be the perfect option for that position in the long run but at the moment he can fill in until the end of the season and add strength to Manchester United's attack. As long as he can be converting chances and scoring goals I think he wouldn't be a bad signing in the main time.

Rashford has really stepped up his game, it is remaining Martial to do so. Rashford can operate from either wings and be very dangerous and not as a top 9.
Martial who is better as top 9 is not showing enough strength and consistency, that is why Manchester United needs a good striker to fill that gap.
I don't know know why you still mention Gakpo who is no longer available in the market. Moting is not a bad player but I don't know if Erik Ten Hag will like him and his playing style.

I watched him play so well for Wolfsburg in the German Bundesliga. I also think he fits in the profile of a center forward Manchester United need. He is tall and very good on the air he can also hold up play for his wingers. Maguire is a player for England's main national team and it's been a while since every English player has always been the priority at Manchester United. But the arrival of Erik Ten Hag was considered brave so not a few of Maguire's matches were postponed. In contrast to other coaches, before Erik Ten Hag at Manchester United, Maguire performed poorly and was always used as the main player. So I saw a firmness in Erik Ten Hag, he really controlled Manchester United for the sake of mutuality. Moreover, even if Maguire leaves, I don't think it will have too much impact on the stability of Manchester United's game.

The weird thing is, Maguire is the type of player that should be at max Championship level teams defender, he is not good enough for United, not good enough for premier league if you ask me but maybe lower end, and certainly not good enough for England national team. I have absolutely no idea what people see in him, there was even a moment when he was subbed in and the other teams fans cheered, that should tell you all you need to know about him.

I get that maybe he used to be better, but he longer is and his mistakes cost United a lot of points last year, in fact he was one of the main reasons for it as well. They are much better without him this year, and should sell him asap.

The French national team head coach Didier Deschamps has extended his contract until 2026. With this, Deschamps would have managed France for 14 years. The power of Didier Deschamps in French football will force Zidane to return to club soccer. It would be wise for Zidane to just forget about coaching France because he would then have to wait another 4 years to coach the France National Football Team, but he would not be guaranteed to succeed.

I don't think Zidane is waiting to be manager of France, maybe he is just taking his time before he makes a decision on his next club or country. Didier Deschamps has been doing an excellent job as French manager and there is no reason why France should do away with him, he has taken them to back to back world cup finals, winning one in the process and coming out runner up in the other one, that is an amazing feat, and i expected his contract as manager to be extended, except if he personally didn't want to.
Having said that, there is a Euro tournament coming up next year and it is expected that France are going to be amongst the favorites for it, i'm pretty sure Didier Deschamps is looking forward to it. If actually Zidane is looking for the French job, four years isn't too long to wait, because i am not sure Didier Deschamps would stay longer than 2026, Zidane could even get himself a job with a club side whilst he waits.

Personally, I do not believe Zidane is interested in coaching the French national team, as I think that he would be better off working as a manager for a club in my opinion, rather than coaching the French national team. In fact, he has proven that he is an excellent club coach while he was at Real Madrid, as he helped them win the Champions League multiple times during his time there. Another thing is that coaching an international team is a hectic job because the coaches do not get to train the players far enough time to bring out the best tactic.

I also don't see that happening anytime soon and consider such news as rumours because I read few dats ago  that the current coach of the french national team has agreed to extend hos contract until 2026 meaning it is very unlikely that Zidane will be stepping in as the manager anytime soon but I think Zidane will be an Excellent choice if eventually he becomes the next coach of the french team.

According to a Spanish online news Chelsea had agreed a verbal agreement to sign Joao Felix on loan from Atletico Madrid despite offers from Arsenal and Man Utd, I think Chelsea needed the service of the youngstar at this point in time when majority of their key players are injured, Joao Felix is a very talented player who plays No 10 position very well thus brings more options for Graham Potter side and a good move by the club to build a future formidable team with the present young players in their squad provided that club owner Boehly gives Graham Potter more time to rebuild the club.

Wout Weghorst is like he has discovered his skills once again after joining Besiktas on loan. He is very productive by not only scoring goals but also making assists. 8 goals and 4 assists are pretty impressive statistics in 16 games in the Turkish Super League. Of course he isn't playing at a level even near the Premier League's now. But it is still good for him because this is increasing his self-confidence once again. Because he wasn't a bad striker in the past also.

His times with Wolfsburg are still in my mind. Especially the 2020/21 season in the Bundesliga was amazing for him as he was the third most scorer with 20 goals. Burnley wasn't the right place for him and let's see how he will perform at Manchester United if he goes there. This transfer would push Rashford and Martial to play better also I guess.

There are lots of wild speculations and rumors that we have not been able to prove to be legit. So far, there are many players who have always linked the Red Devils this January. but unfortunately, no statement has been issued by Ten Hag through its official statement. to be sure, Erik Ten Hag has asked management to buy several players to be brought to Old Tranford this January. So far Ten Hag's attention to bring in a striker is purely as the team needs at this time. the reason is, Ten Hag knows that he will not always be able to rely on Marcus Rashford let alone Martrial.
As for Choupo-Motting, he still has a contract until next summer. reportedly, he is not interested in extending his contract with Bavaria. why, because he knows very well if Bayern bring in a striker who is more established and sharp. automatically Choupo-Motting, will again become a second line-up player, which is why he is reluctant to maintain his contact with Die Bayern.
on the other hand, Bayern will not let him go this January because after all they still need his services at least until the end of the season. so, I believe this rumor is not valid.

Although Choupo-Moting's contract finishes next season if I'm not wrong but still I don't think he's going to be the right fit for Manchester United. So far even with Bayern Munich, he has not been that much consistent even after the departure of Robert Lewandowski.

Another thing is that he is a mediocre-level striker which a team like Manchester United might not like. They need a striker who can score on a regular basis and Choupo-Moting is not something like that. I think they should try to buy some other player instead of him.

Yes, I agree Manchester united team needs a good striker, it must have continuity. Al-Nasr removed Vincent Aboubakar, who was a good striker, from the team because of the foreign quota, this player's name was mentioned with Manchester united, I came across it very often in the news. I think Vincent Aboubakar is a striker with the capacity to score against the Manchester united forward in any circumstance. This transfer will be enough for halftime, I think it can be a good try for half season.

Jack Butland is a done deal for Manchester United on loan.

Dubravka's loan contract expired on January 1 and left the team. They must have wanted to fill his place with Butland. There have already been rumours like they were going to bring a new goalkeeper to the team. De Gea has also been speculated with leaving the team by the end of his contract in this summer. But it looks like they just want to keep the quality of goalkeepers as high as possible. Butland isn't a bad goalkeeper normally. He hasn't played in any matches this season so far. But hopefully he will stay fit and be ready for duty when the time comes.

Manchester United need a second choice goal keeper. Last month, I heard De Gea was to leave Manchester United at the end of his contract but now I hear he is considering accepting a contract extension to continue at the club, I'm not so sure how much truth there is to this but the signing of Jack Butland after the departure of Dubravka clearly indicates  Jack will be replacing Dubravka as the second Choice goal keeper for Manchester United.

It's kinda obvious that he was starting to lose the passion of playing football after his silly flag celebration. But yeah it doesn't change the fact that he was one of the best wingers in 2010s and scored so many outstanding goals. My favorite was when he sprinted against Bartra in Copa Del Rey final game and that goal earned Real Madrid the victory.
