Lukaku is having a hard time right now. When you change clubs and it doesn't work out, that's bad already. But when you return to the club where everything used to be perfect and you find yourself sitting on the bench again because you can't deliver, that is even worse. Not only for the moment, but also for future negotiations with other clubs. I doubt that he is able to work his way out at Inter. But will he find another great club that is now willing to sign him? It's precarious for him and Summer will show what's possible for the last years of his career.

I think he understands that he's not going to be able to perform as he did in his prime for the bigger clubs. So he will surely sacrifice a little bit of salary if he wants to stay. I hear rumors about Erik Ten Hag wanting to buy Harry Cane(or Victor Osimhen) as a central striker and Franky De Jong and/or Jude Bellingham in the midfield. At the start of the season, Firmino helped to the team with both goals and assists. He was the top scorer for the team until he got injured. However all good things must come to an end at one point in time. As Klopp was able to find a suitable replacement for him, he had no other option but to move on.
