The agreement includes a contract for 5 years or more precisely until 2029 as well as an extension option until 2030. I think Chelsea can't wait to see Enzo Maresca handle the Blues squad and they are ready to pay a compensation fee for Leicester.

Something is telling me that Chelsea made the right decision for hiring Maresca, the man's profile fits into Chelsea ambition, according to the management of Chelsea, they said they want same football pattern which is similar to what Manchester City and Arsenal are doing, so the only person that can replicate that is someone who has been thoroughly trained by the master himself which is pep. Given the owners ambition, they are going to back him up with transfer money to bring in more players that can fit into his pattern of play. Although the previous agreement was until 2027, but apparently after Aston Villa's historic first Champions League appearance and 4th place in the EPL the management decided to renew and extend the agreement with Unai Emery.
Great decision for both sides, because Emery is just great at coaching average teams and making them successful, as he did before with Sevilla and Villereal, and now with Aston Villa and the club management now has a reliable head coach with whom they can build a strategy for years to come. 

It is true that Aston villa has achieved a great feat with unai emery by getting champions league football, but for me this is not enough reason to grant him a 5 year contract. Not to disregard the coach technical prowess, just what I do feel. The contract seem like a rush
