Chelsea disrespected him by offering a very short contract extension. I understand why he rejected it. It was to to get a long contract extension from the club. This is the reason why Gallagher was always rejecting the new contract from Chelsea.

Those who don't know the details would blame Gallagher. They would blame his decision not to accept a new contract from Chelsea.

One of the reasons that made them have a bad season was because of La Liga restrictions. Their first choice was Dovbyk, but that deal failed so they got Sorloth which is a very incredible signing.

Is this true? for me this is quite surprising because West Ham has spent so much money to shop for players whose numbers are not small and added with bringing in Niclas Füllkrug they will try to cook starting next season. I also had time to think whether the profit from selling Declan Rice to Arsenal last season has not been used at all so they are very eager to add depth to their squad next season.

I think this is an opportunity for West Ham to prove themselves again after two seasons ago they had surprised various parties under David Moyes but unfortunately it could not last last season. Now Niclas Füllkrug will be a goal-producing machine and I am still curious why Dortmund let him go so easily, even though when defending Germany in the Euro he performed very well and I think again maybe this is Dortmund's habit that we have known for a long time.

I don't think West Ham spent too much money, they spent reasonable amount of money. So far, West Ham signed successfully 5 players and they most expensive player is Max Kilman, they pay €47.50m. 1 player is signed for free, Wes Foderingham. Meanwhile for Niclas Füllkrug, West Ham pay around 25-27 million Euros, I don't get clear information about the transfer fees of him. What I know, WestHam wants to sign him 25 million Euros but Dortmund wants 30 million Euros. Well, it seems they get a deal at 27 million Euros.

Anyway, Niclas Füllkrug is a good striker but I don't know if he will adapt quickly to play in EPL. Although Niclas Füllkrug played very well in Bundesliga, there is no guarantee that he will play in the same level with West Ham. Moreover, Niclas Füllkrug will play in a new league that has a very different nature. I just hope Niclas Füllkrug can get good support from West Ham players, so he can be easier to play at his best level in EPL.

I can understand if Dortmund sell him easily to West Ham because West Ham made an interesting offer. Füllkrug is 31 years old and Dortmund spent money for him 17 million Euros only in 2023 (Dortmund signed him from Werder Bremen). Now, West Ham wants to pay 27 million Euros, Dortmund gets good profits if they sell Füllkrug. Moreover, Dortmund already sign Serhou Guirassy, they don't need Füllkrug anymore.
