For a defender of Mat Hummels quality, I wasn't expecting him to struggle in getting a new club after leaving Borussia Dortmund at the end of last season. The former Germany international was a rockie kind of defender during his days at Dortmund but considering his age, I don't think it'll be wise for him to play for another European team when he has the option of going to Saudi Arabia where he'll earn a lot of money. In as much as I want Arteta to buy a prolific striker in front of goal to help them challenge for the title this season, I feel that Arteta is not yet sure if he needs one. I mean this Arsenal team scored 91 goals last season, without a world class striker. It doesn’t seem like a striker is needed for him to perfect his game play.

He trusts Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus to lead the front line. He’s strengthen the defense and midfield. He prioritizes these positions than the attack.
