The Dortmund legend has found his new home and yes he will continue his career in the MLS. LA Galaxy were lucky to get Marco Reus on a free and give them a big name and experienced striker. I think there will be a time when all the veterans will go to this league otherwise they will usually go to the Saudi pro league as is the trend.

The deal has been done with a contract until December 2025 but there is a possibility of an extension if Marco Reus wants to stay longer. Marco Reus is also scheduled to travel to America to complete a medical.

Good luck in your next career, Marco!

I feel for this player Reus who spent 12 years at Borussia Dortmund with only 2 German cups, I was expecting him to at least lift the Bundesliga title before leaving the side but age wasn't on his side to keep trying. Such a great player and joining one of the best team in the MLS might be an opportunity to at least win one league title to his name. When Dortmund had the chance of winning the German league I thought that was going to be the last time of seeing him wearing the jersey of Dortmund but they messed everything up for him and it was a disappointing season for him especially, that season would have been for him as a parting gift, I felt pity for the big man Marco Reus just wish him the best on his new challenge.

I wouldn't exaggerate the potential of this player so much, but he is undeniably very good and Barcelona did the right thing by abandoning the race for Nico in favour of Olmo. We don't know if Nico would have been able to play with Yamal the way he did at the European Championships, but Olmo is an independent player who doesn't need a strong attachment to any player.

Recently we saw a post from Bilbao and their player, Nico Williams when he said he is passionate about playing in Balbao in the next season and he said he is ready for it while he had some offers from teams like Barcelona and PSG.
Now Catalunya TV3 reported some news about Williams and they said Bilbao forced Williams to talk like that while this player himself wants to leave Bilbao to other teams like Barcelona since he is still a young player.

The truth is that, all these young footballers don’t have base or say about their future. Most of them will be happy if they play for bigger teams than playing for smaller teams because they all have dream teams while they are coming up. Bilbao might have forced him to make such statement if they wants him to remain in the team, they can give him more offers and benefits so as to feel special among other players, but when the player knows what is good for himself, they will started to say against what they have said before which is why some teams are putting release clause on their deals so as not to force any player to stay with them.
The young winger have suitors from several big team, I will be expecting him to leave because he is a good player that deserve a better club than Bilbao.

There are basics that need to be fixed, more like put into place. Barcelona have more problems to fixed and it's really going to be a long run for the Blaugrana, the European top leagues are mainly for the elite clubs. Barcelona will persuade for the best players in the transfer window. We don't expect Athletic Bilbao to allow Nico Williams to exits the club because it was probably not an intended move for the club. Nico Williams is a vibrant young talent and moving to Barcelona seems possible in the nearest future but definitely not now.

Marco Reus is definitely one of the most rare personalities in this modern football, he had the opportunity to play for clubs bigger than Dortmund, win trophies and also earn high wages then but he choose to be loyal in the midst of things offered to him. One key thing that halted or even reduced the players successful career is the the fact the him himself is an injury prone, i could remember him missing the 2014 World Cup during the warm up matches with German which they turned to be the eventual winners it was my painful memory of him. For a decorated player like him he should have had more but didn’t but he still held high due to his loyalty, he is in same  category with the likes Francisco Totti and De Rossi

Last season was actually a pretty good opportunity for Reus to win a prestigious trophy as his farewell to Dortmund, but unfortunately they only finished runners up because they lost against Real Madrid. With his old age, of course he will choose the easy path in his next career and joining MLS is quite the right choice for him.
However, on the one hand, I see many aging players who choose to go to the Saudi Arabian league because they can get a bigger salary before they retire.
But for Reus he chose MLS and maybe he has many reasons to join LA Galaxy. I hope he can be lucky in his new team and win trophies before he retires.

If you look at Reus' loyalty with Die Borussen, it is certainly second to none. because he had received a pretty good offer when he was still young, or precisely at the age of 27, but he turned it down, because he had hopes of winning a trophy with Dortmud. But in the end when he left for MLS he failed to get the Bundesliga trophy.

It's really sad that Olmo joined a team that near of bankruptcy and Barcelona is not the strongest team, they're struggle to win La Liga and will never win Champions League anymore. The 6 years contract is too long, I believe Olmo will regret to sign this contract because he's already 26 years old, it means he need to wait till 32 years old if he want to join other team.

The thing is Barcelona never want to sell their players at cheap, they always demand ridiculous fees.

He can always exit the club at anytime if he comes to an agreement with the club. Barcelona is a club that may not have enough financial capacity to keep good players but they’ll always try their best to bring the best out of their players. They can’t lose their form that much as one of the best in the La Liga, so with all obstacles they’re facing now, they’ll want to come out victorious. 26 years Old Olmo is not a regretful signing to me when asked, they’ve made the right choice, they can’t be the best but they can give the best a very tough time even though they’ll fall short of not wining the trophy. With six years contract signed with him, they’ve locked him down and just need to groom him to become the best they want from him.

I feel for this player Reus who spent 12 years at Borussia Dortmund with only 2 German cups, I was expecting him to at least lift the Bundesliga title before leaving the side but age wasn't on his side to keep trying. It was such a sad career for Marco Reus after all the years he has spent in Dortmund and also in Bundesliga. A loyal player like him is hard to come across now. He gave all he has for the club but they were not able to lift the Bundesliga trophy with him. With two German cups, he has done well for his career and will continue to have that record written close to his name. The likes of Kane that have nothing to show till date are the most devastated ones now. But since he’s still active, he can turn things around soon.

Marco Reus has been among the most unfortunate football players in his generation all because of his injuries woes, I guessed this is among the main reasons he decided to remain faithful to Dortmund since no matter sidelines he was out through injuries he was still love by all till now.
He is a legend already there  though it's ironic how many won't be able recognised how prolific he was using stats, I guessed this is just similar to previous legends whi suffered similar unfortunate fate sadly.

Olmo is a good player but I doubt he's going to be that great for Barcelona. This is a player that doesn't score a lot of goals. He just had a great season with Leipzig and he had just 13 goals and assists. That is not the kind of player they can rely on to lead them. There is also the fact that Olmo is injury-prone. He misses at least 20 games due to injury every season. Barcelona already has injury-prone players like Perdi in midfield and recently Frenkie De Jong has been getting injured a lot too so I don't think adding another injury-prone player is a good idea.

I believe Barcelona should have given up the pursuit of Nico Williams. They should have signed both Nico and Olmo. Olmo can play behind the striker while Nico plays the wing. I don't believe Olmo is overall a better player than Nico. Nico is a better winger which is the only position he knows how to play and Olmo is a better attacking midfielder.

Marco Reus has been showing his loyality to Dortmund although during joining with Dortmund some of big clubs want to buy him and offering him high salary but Marco Reus was never thinking want to leave Dortmund so he is the real legend of this team but unfortunately with Dortmund Marco Reus is never gets Bundesliga trophy

The final of champion league against Real Madrid actually could be very special for Marco Reus because he hopes with Dortmund Marco Reus can gets the trophy from that competition but unfortunately Dortmund lost at that time and this makes Marco Reus have to ended his last season in Dortmund without the trophies

Marco Reus have already 35 years old so that's why Dortmund has decide will not extended his contract anymore because this team want to regeneration their squad and LA Galaxy is could be good team for Marco Reus before he will be retired but i will be assume LA Galaxy would be his last team in his football career

Sometimes being loyal isn't the best option to gain recognition or to say you have much respect for the club, imagine the number of players he played with and all left the side to join teams that fetch them trophies, he still stayed and achieved nothing, some even came back to continue from where they stopped with him (Reus), how I wish he had taken that bold step like the others, I believe he would have gotten more than enough to say this is his achievement but he chose to stay with a club that lacks consistency year in year out, is so sad for such a big name to take a bow in this manner, he reminded me of Buffon who did everything humanly possible to win the champions league but it never came his way, only difference between both players is that Buffon changed club but Reus never did, he was indeed unlucky. I guess that's the path he wanted but what's the gain in staying loyal to a club that you know won't give you what you want so bad? I still feel for him honestly, who knows he might not be luck over there in the MLS.

Just detailing a little more about Marco Reus' history at Borussia Dortmund....
There were five titles in total: two German Cups and three German Super Cups, in fact, the closest he came to winning the Bundesliga was last season but unfortunately they lost the lead and the title in the last round of the championship, allowing their rival, Bayern Munich, would win the trophy for the 11th consecutive time.

Unfortunately, when we talk about Marco Reus, there is an understandable temptation to focus more on his tragic aspects, and his name has become almost a synonym for adversity. Reus is a talented but unsuccessful player of his generation, a fantastic player prevented from reaching his full potential by a series of setbacks.

Better days will come... hopefully!
