I don't think Arbeloa has been appointed as the permanent manager. He must be the interim manager for now. It doesn't make sense to move on with him in the end after parting ways with someone like Xabi Alonso.  Tongue

Klopp's name has been circulating in the rumours but I have heard he doesn't want to go there currently. Then I wonder who's going to be next for them. A return by Zidane maybe? He has been waiting for the France job for a while though.
I don't think Arbeloa is certain he's an interim coach either. I think it will depend on how the team plays under him and whether Perez can reach an agreement with Klopp or another renowned coach. Zidane definitely won't coach Real Madrid because he's waiting for his turn to coach the French national team. I think it's more prestigious for him, something he's wanted and waited a long time for. He could return to Real Madrid again when they're looking for a new coach.

I also agree with you Arbeloa doesn't fit the profile for the Real Madrid club, he might be exceptional in the Real Madrid Castilla but for the first team, nah...

I feel this decision is just a big gamble for the Real Madrid side, Arbeloa might just end up bending down for the egos because he doesn't have that qualifications to coach players like Vini, Mbappe and even Bellingham, if Xabi who was a renowned player and manager of team in one the the top 5 big leagues  couldn't control I doubt whether Arbeloa could pull it off.

But maybe he might surprise us

Seems Liverpool will not be signing anybody this January transfer window. I hoped we would go for a CB at the very least but David Ornstein, a very well connected journalist in the UK reports today that we will not be doing any business in this window and we are saving the money until summer. Hopefully this means our owners are writing the season off and will save the money for a new manager in the summer if/when Slot gets sacked.

Well, right now Real Madrid has sign Arbelo but I think they have no intention to keep his for long term. On the other hand if Arbeloa didn't make any sense and have failed as Xabi Alonso they probably they will go for another coach. So before that moment they should need to scout another coach, whether it a Zizo or Klopp. My choice is Klopp because his style of play is preciously match up with Real Madrid and also he has good experience of managing big team...

Thus far if we talked about Zidane then apparently he already express his opinion that he has no intention to manage a club like he really have intentions to manage their national team. Right now Deschamps is on the national team job but if he didn't make any good progress in 2026 world cup then probably Zizo will be there successor.

I’m so disappointed in Real Madrid, I don’t really understand why this decision are made by the board to sack Xabi Alonso, you don’t just take a coach from his previous job where he is doing absolutely spectacular, and sack him for loosing five games, I can’t even imagine how a Club sack a Manager that have played 28 games and lost 5, won 20, and played 3 draws, that is absolutely not a bad record but a good record, I’m thinking there must be something going on that we don’t know and the media doesn’t know.

However we have just gone half of that season, and nothing have been lost, so why sack a manager when you’re in a good position in the La Liga Table, and still in a good course for the Champions League, if I’m club managers there are two clubs I will avoid managing, Chelsea and Real Madrid, right now Manchester United, well I still think this will be impossible because most of this managers are mostly after the money this club have to offer.

Well for Real Madrid their actions with Alonso is very disgraceful.

There are many factors that we don't know but it is clear from several sources that this was a mutual agreement. The first pressure came from the fans, then there were internal problems between Alonso and several players, for example Vinicius well, things like this can really disrupt the integrity of the team. I personally suspect this decision came from Xabi Alonso, he seemed burdened by high expectations while he needs more time to adapt. The next question is where will Xabi Alonso move? We know some clubs in the Premier League need a coach for example Manchester United or even some have linked Alonso with Liverpool, I think the rumors are closer to Liverpool but not this season.

New rumour on Bernardo Silva...

You know he hasn't extended with Manchester City yet. I haven't heard about any negotiation on a new contract either. He is going to be 32 this summer. Probably Guardiola doesn't want him anymore or maybe he looks for a new adventure.

If all the rumoured teams are monitoring him then his destination might be Barcelona in my opinion. I don't think any other option there would be more attracting to him.

Arbeloa has been appointed as coach until the end of the season. If his performance is satisfactory, Real Madrid will extend his contract and make him the permanent manager. Arbeloa began his coaching career in the academy, but has never managed a major club. It is doubtful whether Arbeloa can succeed as a Real Madrid coach amidst inconsistent performance, especially with numerous injuries.

This rumors is circulating from a long time but still didn't even see any results like from the beginning of the season everyone is arguing that Barnardo Silva is leaving Manchester city because his contract will finished at the end of the season and he will left the team as a free agent but still no negotiations has been seen from any club. However Barnardo Silva have not yet made any decisions about whether he want to stay like to extend his contract, or leave as free agent...

In my opinion Barcelona would be one the best place but unfortunately Barcelona still feeling the same way like they are still trailing with a financial criticism and that's why it would be hard for them to sign Bernardo Silva.

Xabi Alonso is leaving Real Madrid with immediate effect!
I have always thought that going straight into coaching a top club is a big risk! But I don't think Real Madrid are doing badly this season.

Link to the news inside the photo.

Those are Real Madrid's standards. And I don't think it's even about the Super Cup defeat or the lag in La Liga, but rather that Real Madrid are expected to dominate, but they haven't. I think that Xabi could have been given more time, but on the other hand, I understand Perez: a top team must have top results no matter what, excuses are unacceptable. It will be interesting to see how Arbeloa will perform, despite the fact that for now he will be a "technical" coach and some minimal (from Real Madrid's point of view haha) standards are expected of him.

Somehow I doubt Barcelona is targeting this player because they are constrained by financial problems so I think the chances are very low. The most widely heard news is that Bernardo Silva will move to Serie A between Como and Juventus, if Bernardo Silva is chasing the Champions League then Juventus is a likely option because Juventus has a chance to finish in the top 4 this season while if he wants money or salary then Como is the right choice because this team has good finances, Como also has the potential to get a ticket to the Europa League so actually this is the most interesting option, imo. Benfica and Galatasaray are no longer on the list, Silva is reportedly not interested in playing in that league but the reasons not explained in detail.

Unlike you, I was not surprised because it's Real Madrid we're talking about here. Florentino Perez isn't that kind of club president that'll want to keep you for too long when the results aren't favourable regardless of your personal relationship with him. I thought he would be sacked sometime in late November or early December but Xabi Alonso was able to escape it with impressive results. Losing to Barcelona in another final was just too much to accept for the club and Xabi Alonso had to be shown the exit door.
I'm just not happy that Xabi Alonso left without winning major trophies with the club. From the day he was appointed as the club manager, I've always rooted for him but sadly, things didn't happen like I had wished and we just have to accept it and support the new manager.

Liverpool have been in the market for crystal palace center back Marc Guehi for over two seasons now but right now I think the English defender is in a hot demand in the market as even Manchester city, Chelsea Bayern Munich and Arsenal have joined the race to sign him. Last season when Liverpool were hunting for him it was almost certain that he will end up joining Liverpool this summer transfer window but with the current situation at hand I think the deal is getting more complicated with other clubs now showing interest in the in demand English Centre back.

When I read this rumor I thought of another reason why Man City signed Semenyo, possibly to replace Bernardo Silva, and although there is a slight difference, Silva is more of an attack creator than Semenyo in his main role at Man City but if you look closely Semenyo also has the ability for that role. In Pep hands anything is possible. In addition to Silva age factor, which most likely will not be given a new contract extension. Well, regarding speculation if it really happens, I think Silva next destination is Saudi Arabia, let's see how it goes.

Hopefully this means our owners are writing the season off and will save the money for a new manager in the summer if/when Slot gets sacked.
I also didn't expect Liverpool to spend this January, not after how much they spend this past summer, and i guess the board agrees with me. I get it that players have underperformed, but maybe the board is putting the responsibility on the manager to change things, rather than going into the market again. And the change they would prolly favor is a change of manager if things do not change.

That said, i thought Liverpool were in the race to sign Guehi this January, with this information i guess they are out of the race. Rumors have it that City want Guehi too, if they get him, then they have done very good business with Semenyo and him. We'd see how things pan out.

The transfer window will close on February 3rd, you don't know what the management will be capable of doing and if they will consider signing a center back because that is the most important position for Liverpool right now. Though i don't know how reliable the information of journalist David Ornstein is but it is rather too early to say that Liverpool do not have any plans of signing any player in this transfer market. Liverpool's management might make a u-turn on sacking Arne Slot because he has been able to make some good changes in the team but if any sudden development and they find themselves in such ugly situation as they did find themselves in the past then they might be preparing for a new manager but for now there's no sign that they are planning to sack Arne Slot.

Fenerbahçe is reportedly meeting with N'golo Kante's agents tomorrow. According to a Turkish journalist (often seen as a local Fabrizio), Fenerbahçe will meet with Kante and his agent, and if an agreement is reached, a transfer to Fenerbahçe is being discussed. As a Fenerbahçe fan, I'm excited because having such a high-quality midfielder would be a huge advantage for us, especially for the Europa League.
There are claims that N’Golo Kante is struggling to adapt to life in Saudi Arabia. I guess he joined Al-Ittihad because of the high financial gains but might want to taste European football again. Fenerbahçe might also face tough competition with other clubs in Europe because the 34-year-old midfielder is on the radar of other top clubs in Europe. The French midfielder has not lost his strength and has been part of the Les Bleus in their World Cup qualifiers.
Hmm N'Golo Kante is never a bad one though but don't you think he's quite aged for that move? Like he can't really be that N'Golo Kante of Chelsea those days, so I really think they should put it to consideration of getting a younger midfielder that can actually hold that place, yes N'Golo Kante has got some pretty good experience but his age might also be a barrier, and he can't really give what is expected of him to the team, this is the kind of deal I see as going as a pensionier, like he's only going there to collect pension no doubt, they should hunt for a younger talent.

Yeah, this actions shows the management are actually considering sacking him and i doubt there's much he can do to save himself. I think they are bot considering a long term option and they might go for Xabi Alonso since he is no longer Real Madrid manager who they showed interest on before.

Here we go Guys!!!
Real Madrid has brought in Alvero Arbeloa for their management seat after the immediate affect. Tomorrow Super Cup were the last opportunity for Xabi Alonso to figure out his future but unfortunately he failed to win the final and that's why Real Madrid have go for another coach Arbelo. This season Xabi Alonso didn't even make any good progress due to some injuries suspect as well as his lack of understanding for player instructions....

Thus far today the Xabi Alonso era has been officially ended with 22 win, 4 draw and 5 defeats. I think it not too bad but still they brought Arbeloa for his job. So Arbeloa will be now their future coach but I don't know he will have a good impact or bad because we didn't see his coaching skill.

https://x.com/i/status/2010769211375710464

What did you think Guys
Let me know
There's this pattern at Madrid that's kind of funny at this point.

Alonso wanted Vinicius tracking back defensively and Vini basically said no and got subbed and then apparently used his contract talks as leverage to get the manager. That's insane when you think about it. The player negotiating against his own coach.

Mbappe hated playing as a central player. Wanted to drift left but Alonso needed him pushing on as a nine and he just wouldn't Then magically he's hurt for three weeks just after mutiny?

Real Madrid can't be coached. Not really. This is not a new phenomenon, as the club has gone through 16 managers under Perez and it's always the same story - players have more power privately than the coaching staff. Alonso even told the board, "You cannot manage a dressing room if you consistently side with the players," and they proved him right by firing him anyway.

Arbeloa's not here to revolutionize anything. He's there to baby-sit egos and hope individual talent saves them. It worked for Zidane but Zidane was Zidane - Ballon d'Or winner, global icon. Arbeloa was a good right-back. There's levels to this.

Tonight they play with Albacete (second division team) with half of the defense injured. If they somehow lose that?

But knowing Madrid they'll stumble into another Champions League because somehow that's the way they operate.

For UK news reports I trust David Ornstein more than any journalist. He called out both Enzo Maresca and Amorim sacks way before any journalists and also called then that it was because of the misunderstanding between them and their respective club boards.

For Liverpool i think it’s best to not get players now because the future of their manager is actually at risk and if they sign his profile of players and maybe have a managerial switch by summer it will be hard to move this player ahead. The one player i actually think Liverpool will miss out on by this decision is Marc Guehi who is definitely looking to be sold this winter before he becomes free transfer by summer and with Manchester City moving fast for his signature after the injury to Josko Gvardiol I think it will be a great miss by Liverpool in my opinion

Barcelona will be a good place for him, but would he get consistent playing time? Barca has enough players or maybe he would be a standing reserve for the midfield. Como has been a growing force in the Serie A. Cesc Fabregas will find the Portuguese player very helpful. He would also have more playing time in Galatasaray considering his experience and tactical prowess. These clubs are chasing him because they wouldn't spend much on him since he is now a free agent. Manchester United should have given him another year to appreciate his great contribution to the club.
I think Silva should go to a club that he wil have enough playing time instead of where he will be on the bench. Of course Como needs him more, he will add good impact to the team. It's left for Bernardo Silva to decide which club he prefers amongst the rest. Since he will be a free agent, the vlub with the highest pay might win his heart.
