I'm using Gigabyte RX580 8G Gaming with Samsung memory. You may use my specs and adjust accordingly, maybe it was not so good but at least it's a good place to start. It takes few days for me to found sweetspot for my card. Ignore the temp as it is enclosed in CPU chassis without enough ventilation, I am waiting for Scythe fan to arrive to blow the heat away. Using Uber-Mix Extreme v3.1 from OC.net 777000000000000022CC1C00AD615C41C0590E152ECC8608006007000B031420FA8900A00300000010122F3FBA354019 You may try using your own timing from 1:1750 and paste it to 1:2000 , result should be similar. MSI Afterburner : -96 mV core voltage limit +30% Power Limit (well I guess this doesn't help but I just put it in) 1192-1198 MHz core clock 2075-2085 MHz memory clockIf you think that the core clock is not important for ETH mining, then you are dead wrong. So don't set the core clock too low either. For Claymore configuration : use -asm 1 and -dcri 33 , i seen much improvement on compared to the screenshot above with ETH on 30.4MHs and DCR on 1000MHs Good luck and if you think my post is helpful, feel free to donate some ETH/DCR for me! ETH : 0x2345988e664AB0b2608185578623c5f252a40a17 DCR : DsoL8UaDLdjAsPZCAb6H87RDNtpPRSMnDWu Your power draw is very high man.. lower gpu clock, and reset power limit.

Hello, I am quite new to the mining. I have been mining since nov 2016 with a rx480 for 8 months now with an xfx 480 that I run @ 1263 core and 2175 mem. Got ~27 mhs from it. I just bought an xfx gtr-s 580 and tried to overclock the memory. I don't know if I just got a crapy manufactured memory chip set for this card , but here is the details. GPU-Z: Mem clock: 2000 Memory Controller Load: ~84% Eth mining ~22.4 mhs !!! GPU-z: Mem clock: 2005-2160 Memory Controller Load: ~54% Eth mining ~18 mhs Once I try to overclock the mem the perf goes down. The mem info from GPU-Z is entry 1: gddr5 autodetect entry 2: gddr5 Samsung K4G80325FB entry 3: gddr5 Hynix (wtf) H5GQ8H24MJR I would have expected the same brand for the mem. Someone have the same situation with the same card? Yes! I'm having this issue as well. I tried all sorts of timing mods and the only one that seemed to work and was stable was 2:1750 -> 2:2000. I'm still under 25 MH/s with dual mining, and no matter what overclocking I do on the memory, it drops... Would love if someone could help here. Yup, I'm in exactly the same boat. Looking at the memory timings, as well, and they look completely off from all the tutorials I've ready. Almost like they're not registering correctly with Polaris. Anybody have any idea what's going on here? Are the XFX RX580s from Best Buy garbage for mining?

I have a question about the HP 1200W Power Supply and the x5 breakout when using whit a normal power supply. When I start the pc, the HP supply starting automatic? I don't need a start button for the HP supply? HP 1200W and Corsair RM650x is enough for 6 * RX 580? Or only on PSU Seasonic Prime Gold 1200W?

Quick question everyone. I fortunately managed to get my hands on 2 Sapphire Nitro+ Rx 580 8Gb Limited Editions. I noticed the bios switch on these were already pointed forwards, in the position where we put it to reflash the bios. Anyone else notice this? I haven't set these ones up yet, still waiting for other parts. I'm thinking because they are limited edition models that perhaps they've already cranked the timing from the factory hence why the bios switches are already pointed towards the end where the hdmi/dvi inputs are. Anyone else have these?

That button on the breakout board is most definitely the power switch. As far as I can see the circuit does not have any components to automatically switch on the PSU which means you have to somehow manually do it. I just short out the signal ports on server PSUs to turn them on but you need to know or find by trial the channels you need to short out (although using a resistor is possibly a better idea). Sometimes there are several of them, i.e one for the turn-on signal and one for the there-is-no-fault signal. And, HP 1200W PSU alone should be enough to power 6 GPUs. You can run it at 100% load 24h no problem. It's a real 1200 Watt workhorse. IF you're on 220V utility, that is.

Hello Guys, I have a MSI rx580 gaming x and ASUS rx580 strix, both are samsung memory and both are 8gb. I am unable to push them over 27MH/s no matter what I do. This is the first time I am modding the BIOS so not sure I did everything right. I tried to copy the 1:1500 values to 1625, 1750 and 2000 for the MSI card and it crashes all the time, but works if I copy the 1750 values to 2000, the power draw is about 130 watts in GPU-z. Is there anything different I can try for this card?
For my ASUS card it only has the 0:xxxx values in BIOS and no 1:xxxx or 2:xxxx values. I copied the 1750 values to 2000 and I get 26 - 27 MH/s with 140 watt power draw.
Please help me get more out of them. thanks

Hello guys, I Have 3 Sapphire RX580 Nitro + 4GB (23mh/s stock), with Hynix memory. I have change the options (Copy 1:1500 to 1:1625, 1:1750, 1:2000 and the 2:1500 to 2:1625, 2:1750, 2:2000), but again, 24mh/s.. Only modified the Power Draw (155 to 132w).. Pls, anything option I change to work with 28~30mh/s? Thanks!!!

I have Gigabyte RX 580 Gaming 8G Hynix on Windows 7 22.3Mh/s at stock (1340MHz 2000MHz 1.15V 122W) As soon as I modify the memory clock the hashrate drops to 20Mh/s I strap at 1750 (not stable at 1625), I obtain 24.9Mh/s at stock and at 1000MHz 2000MHz 0.85V 74W No memory clock possible without a hashrate's drop.

I'm new in tuning AMD Bios and read a lot. I have a new Pulse RX580 4G D5(Sapphire type 11265-09-20G). The SRBPolaristools shows me that there are 2 different 4GB-VRAM types - 1st is a EDW4032BABG (Micron-Elpida), 2nd is a H5GC4H24AJR (Hynix). Now occur the 1st question - why is that a 4GB only card and no 8GB card? ...and which VRAM should be adjusted for tuning - both or the Hynix only. Saw in some videos adjusting sometimes only the 1st memory and sometimes the 2nd memory, but never both. Thanks in advance for some helpful hints.

If I'm not mistaken, I think you go by the memory type that is displayed under the "Graphics Card" tab under Memory Type in GPU-Z At least that's what all the tutorial videos I've seen have said.

Use GPU-Z, it will tell you what you have. Edit only the one you have. In my signature is tutorial how detect the memory vendor.

So, checked some RAM-Timings - some improvements after patching reached, but not higher than 27,2Mh/s. Better than the original Bios, but not 30Mh/s. On average the Elpidas RAM is slower than Hynix or Samsung - could be the reason. Open for ideas or suggestions to get the last 10% out. Thanks. Update: I tried several Straps, but no selection pushed speed above 27,2. At the end I decreased the Mem-voltage to 925mV/GPU to 865mV - with success in power consumption without loosing speed. Core: 1150 and Mem: 2060. This was the best setup after a lot of tests.

So my Sapphire Nitro+ RX580 Limited Edition cards came in today, so I ran some benchmarks. I first tried to find the highest error free memory clock for each memory strap and chose one that performs the best. I followed this up by downclocking the core until the mining performance was noticeably affected if I'd gone further. I then proceeded to reduce voltages as much as possible. The trials and results can be found here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0CbyDF8Rhg5LS1CdldsUGs5OTQ/view?usp=sharingI was able to achieve 29.3Mh/s at 77.5W as reported by MSI Afterburner and HWiNFO without any reported memory errors. After 1 hour, the card remained at 42 Celsius in a 72 Fahrenheit ambient room using only 40% fan speed. If power isnt an issue, the 1450 stock clock at 1.125V which can go higher would do great for dual-mining. http://imgur.com/DnB9WH1I have 6 more of these to play with, and I'm looking to reproduce these results. If anyone has any custom memory straps they'd like me to test just send me a PM (these use Samsung memory). UPDATE: After additional strap tweaking, I've gotten to 30.5Mh/s Eth. The card can dual mine 1450 Mh/s Dcr with no power limit, however by balancing power to hashrate, I get 1130 Mh/s Dcr (w/ 30.5 Mh/s Eth) @ 125W UPDATE2: The Nitro+ RX580 seems perfectly happy to run on just a single 8-pin power connector. However from my tests, this reduced hashrates by 1% and power consumption by 1% consistently The 1% drop seems to only have been temporary. how u make 29 mhs with 77 wats ? this what i read u stip clock what u mind u coppy from 1500 to all other up or what ? .. can u please explain this ? i will use this card to mine eth single so if u can help reduce power

Got a RX570 nitro+ 4GB some days ago. Strange - has the same VRAM-Types - one Elpidas and one Hynix like RX580.But Hynix, instead of the RX580 Pulse 4GB, has the Hynix as the main VRAM relevant for tuning. I optimized successfully the BIOS by trying several straps - found the right one at the end. Got 29.8 MH/s - quite good, but only with the Glaymore miner under W10 and BIOS parameters: 1150GPU/2060Mem/0.9V Mem/0.86GPU. Power consumption @90-100W. With Ethos-OS I got only 26.5MH/s - anybody an idea why? If any questions - just ask for.
