Would you kill your own children if God commanded you to?
A perfectly valid legit question.
Please no attempts to derail the thread with nonsense like "God would never say that" or "God would never change the rules with murder" etc....
If God commanded me to kill my own children, I will do nothing but follow His command. If you read in the Bible, God tested Abraham to kill his own son Isaac as an offering to God. Which means he need to kill His son as an offering but when God saw He is willing to kill his son God stop him to kill his own son. Meaning, we are no different with Abraham in terms of obeying God's word. |

Definitely no, I would not kill anyone or my own children (if I have have one but I am not married hehe). But sometimes it happen to save others we have to kill our own someone. Expect terrorist , they will kill not only kill his children also himself.
The Bible says that one day God drained one person, but no one was killed. And today this test would be inhuman and low. At least I'm sure that God needs our faith, not the lives of our children or ours. |

Any god who would ask you to kill your own child, is not worthy of the title god...
Nor is any god who murders innocent children and animals (10th plague of Egypt)
Neither is worthy of my worship... even if this sky-god did exist (it doesn't), I would not worship such a monster
I agree that God must give life and help in difficult situations. It's only the devil can push for murder, accordingly it will turn out to worship the devil. |

Parent have no choice but to love his children. Do you remember story when God told Abraham that he will destroy city because of their sins. Abraham tried to prevent it. He discussed with God, trying to influence God to change his decision. So, relationship with God is never one sided, but it's more talk through prayers, sharing, giving and receiving... So, as parent will never ruin our life, it's the same for God. |

If i would be commanded by god to kill my own child for me to serve him and for me to have everlasting life, is it way too selfish if that happens? As far as i know he is a loving God so why would he kill his own men for the sake of one's dreams and ambition? For me those commands are worth opposing.

God will never ask this i know god don't want his child sufer again by killing them god will spare us and he died for us because he paid our sins from his father who created everyone and he is our savior and i will not do that if he say so.
A real god can not order to kill or kill those he created. All other orders for murder can come from scammers who appear to be God. |

This is a little bit of a fallacious question here. I would phone the police regardless of if I thought God had told the person to do it or not. But you never gave me that option. |

There's no mix up. Think about it, if God ask you to kill someone, you only have two possible options to choose from, yes or no. You either obey the command or you don't. If you choose yes, then your saying "Yes God. I trust you completely and will follow through with your instructions. I have complete faith in you." If you choose no, then your saying "No God. I don't trust you have made the correct decision. My decision in not doing your request is the correct one, so I know better." There's no other options to choose from. |
