Hello Bitcore community!

I recently posted here about a bug affecting GUI wallets, but the post was deleted.
  • How does your recommended GUI deal with watchonly addresses?
  • Does your GUI display watchonly addresses as different than actual addresses in the wallet?

We just want to let you know about the watchonly-GUI bug. If your wallet does not properly manage the watchonly addresses, there is a chance a user can send funds to the address and likely not recover them. Sorry if the last post was too alarming, I'm working on it ; )

Stay safe,
Jay

i did not see your last post, maybe i was late. It looks little risky if user is not vigilant. hopefully improvement comes in next wallet release.

Nice list, thanks!

The reason we expect the funds to possibly end even earlier is because if more people become interested in Bitcore and more BTX are registered for the airdrop, the airdrop address would be depleted faster.

@ QB Horse Thanks for your input: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1883902.msg26378817#msg26378817
The declining airdrop model also offers some interesting possibilities.

We still reserve the right to change the current distribution model. We are discussing the best way for a sustainable Bitcore project.
If any concusions are made, we will let the community know asap.
Right now the current model remains.

Can we expect more marketing soon?

Without giving specifics I can say we are working on a complete marketing plan. This takes time and we also want to be sure to have the right timing.

What does it mean, right timing? Can you please elaborate, at east a time frame?

In my opinion, BTC forks are quite popular and also the cryptocurrencies and altcoins are better known every day. I think the right time is now, or maybe even a few weeks ago Smiley

Hey folks,

I just made a small spreadsheet with my Airdrop end date prediction based on the current history and model of the Airdrop.
This is obviously not 100% correct but it gives me at least a better view of how it all might unfold.

@more.hash; i was also trying to put a finger on this. Thanks! Beyond march for sure   Grin

It is starting to get really ridiculous, to see a coin with so much potential seeing suffer from some mentioning by the devs. I want to believe, but it is getting harder.

Devs not able to calculate? For sure not, cause all this programming „should“ need some kind of mathematical intelligence, too. So that is no excuse.

I am urgently waiting for an answer upon a topic that was created by one of the devs one day ago, amd which one was needed like a broken bone.

Maybe this adress is also for claiming if that is still possible, then need to reservate some unsuspected funds  Huh And some new comers for subscribing for airdrops.

Why has fallen so much the price of the coin?

Depends how you look at it, price has been around the 5 dollar mark for a long time, with a sudden rise to 40, maybe a correction.  But it's a strong price and hopefully a good start.

I think there is an additional option - facebook advertisements.

Hi Frogpoet,
I like your idea. We might also ask the Coredevs if this is o.k. for them to do such kind of adwertisment.
Otherwise just post your Bitcore address here in the forum and I pretty sure that we can collect some coins
for this project.

Is your address on this list? https://www.bitcore.cc/airdrop.php?info=all
You can find it by copying and pasting it into the site using the search function (Ctrl+F)
If your address is on this list, you will receive on this and the following Monday 4% of your balance.

In January, you will receive 5% each Monday. In February, 6% every Monday and so on, until this wallet is empty - https://chainz.cryptoid.info/btx/address.dws?262.htm
Yes, my address is on the list. then everything is in order? I'll try to buy more coins until Monday.
thank you for your answers!

Finally check your address @ the blockexplorer (https://chainz.cryptoid.info/btx/) and make sure to check in advanced coin management (https://www.bitcore.cc/BitcoreBTX_Guide_AdvancedCoinControl.pdf) that all of your coins are stored at the registered address.

Try "Help - command line options - -reindex/-reindex-chainstate".
Do not forget to backup your wallet.dat.

If I install another QT wallet in another computer and use this .dat backup, will I still be able to have access to my BTX coins?

yes

Hi Bombardier, just a follow up question.

Does the BTX QT wallet provide a private key? If so, where can I find it?

Thanks.

Launch QT wallet. Help / Debug / Console . (type: walletpassphrase YOURPASSWORD 900. only if you encrypted your wallet. if not, skip this step). type: dumpprivkey YOURBTXADDRESS

Hi Bombardier, that worked like magic! Thanks for that. Have a good day!
