Personally, I use wallets in watch-only mode. Private keys are stored in password protected files with backups in 3 different locations (local storage, USB, online storage). The passwords are strong, but also easy to remember. I never use anything personal in passwords, for protection against social engineering, so the they're random digits, and ASCII characters. As a last resort, I ask my most trusted person to remember the password - just in case of fatal accident, or other health-related disaster. And last but not least, for transactions, always use the machine that you're sure is free from malware - ideally live linux distro, but if you have no experience, then use a fresh Windows laptop, or Android tablet, that has never been used for surfing. Obviously, all of this may be a pain in the ass, but it may save your funds.

That's a very good procedure, at least for the coins that you cannot store in a hardware wallet like Ledger Nano. Since I have the Ledger, I can avoid a lot of pain in the ass. I know that the team is working for BTX being supported by Ledger Nano, and I can only rejoyce about that.

What's the average time for btx deposit to cryptopia? I sent small amount 3 hours ago just to test it, it still doesn't show in my balance. Network shows 90 confirmations... and everything should be ok.

it can take a few hours, but has always went through for me.

Hey guys,
I am new on Bitcoin talk but not in the crypto space. More into the investing part than the technology and have made a pretty nice amount in Crypto. I just found out about Bitcore by accident and pretty pumped. The airdrop is pretty cool from this great project and what the devs are trying to accomplish. I love the speed of transaction for Bitcore. I noticed that people are complaining about the price and liquidity which I noticed too. What I will say is that most people are not aware of this airdrop. Most people are holding on to their coins because of the airdrop. Also there are lot of newbies in the space and they are still figuring out how to send and receive transactions. After I downloaded the wallet, it was pretty hard for me to register it. I had to look up a lot of youtube videos. Because I was putting significant amount, I tried retrieving my wallet from another computer so this is not going to be easy for a newbie. My suggestion to everyone in the community is to spread the airdrop info far and wide and also be ready to educate people. Don't make anybody feel stupid if they don't understand how to receive the airdrop. The people to target most are the people that invested in lending platforms especially with all of those platforms imploding. Now this is not to denigrate this Bitcore as a lending platform. Most of the people that are invested in lending platforms want some kind of daily or weekly income. Lots live in the third world country which I am originally from so this kind of income is important to them. It's hard for people in the west to understand this and why people will subscribe to these lending platforms. This is why they are vulnerable to these lending platforms. They should be putting their money in great platforms like Bitcore and learn about the technology while they get these weekly payout that they can keep or sell and take care of their families. I do have a youtube channel but have not made videos for a while because I have not really seen things that excite me until this so I will be making one soon and spreading this. Think about if everyone one of your friends decided to sign up and and purchase Bitcore, the price and liquidity will definitely jump. I will post the video here for anybody to share. Have a blessed day guys!!!

This is a truly great post, with some sociological information which I have much appreciated. If someone has missed to read it, I'd recommend it.

Make sure to comment #BTX on this Centra tweet so that we can get into the community vote for March. This would allow Bitcore users to spend at 30 million businesses. They are one of the few cards that were not affected by the shutdown of WaveCrest.

is this a real and operating card or more vapourware like the monaco card? all i can see on their website are the all too familiar words 'preorder' and the repeated use of 'will'.
