I like this distribution model, very smart and original. I lile also Byteball distribution model, but it would make little sense to copy it for Bitcore. It is always good to explore new ways.
The idea to engineer the airdrop so that the top 1000 holders will become more and more rich is brilliant, since everybody wants to become rich, so there will be competition which will lead to a rise of prices.
However, I think this model can and should be improved.
Value of any currency is first of all dependent upon adoption - the more people adopt a currency the more it acquires value. No questions about that. Therefore, in my view the dev should think at a way to motivate also the longer tail of adopters, especially for the time after 11-02-2017 when top 1000 holders will receive the bigest slices of the pie.
It's fine to make those lucky 1000 rich - they will be the "oligarchs" of Bitcore.
But then, you should also think about creating a "middle class" of people who would benefit, let's say the first 10,000 on the rich list, which would still get something for free. Perhaps X coins from position 1000 to position 2000, Y coins from position 2000 to position 3000, and so on, with decreasing quantities. Otherwise too many people would end up being frustrated to be left out of the party and they would stop trading it and generally caring about it. To expand as much as possible the base of adopters is critical for the success of Bitcore.

Whoever agrees with my idea is welcome to tip me with BTXs at my address:

Sorry fellow BTX friends if I'm quoting this old post, but my account bobq has just been hacked and this is one post which contains an address of mine which can prove that the account belonges to me, and I have to save it before the hacker eventually deletes it. Anyway, it could be a nice reminder of what we were discussing in those days Smiley

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Devs you could pay for binance listing from the airdrops, just remove the amount from this months airdrop, would hardly effect the percentage, instead of 7% might give us 6% at worst but binance would help a lot, volume would increase a lot, also price would go higher too. I wouldn't even mind if you guys cancelled 1 week of airdrop in order to get BTX listed on binance.

i wouldn't mind if they cancelled 1 month for binance listing but that's not the way things work.

Things work in the way we want them to.. there isn't any law of "how things work" in crypto, we all know how much binance listing would do for BTX, when basically we don't have a single good exchange right now. The only reason the coin dumped it's because our exchanges suck big time. We need binance before the end of the airdrops, at least 2 week before it, otherwise shit will hit the fan.

Dam!! Why I don't have some merit for this word's!!!
It's obvious that the technology that are behind this coin is tremendous!! Not only the technology there are a team that are committed to this project and work daily, this is one of the most important thing. I'm sure that they will follow and accomplished the roadmap for this year!!

But there's always blind people.

All this analysis, all this whining.
BTX has been one of the most price stable coins in the game during the big market declines, and during big swings in total market cap.
The Airdrop is building the network, and growing size increases hedge against volatility.
I just grabbed 100 more.  Crazy not to.
By the end of April, BTX will have paid for ALL my investments in over 20 altcoins.

BTX is EASILY the best alt-coin investment out there - and on top of it all is an amazing tech that will be here for a very long time.
With a few smart moves BTX will be in the same class as ETH, LTC, BTC, and BTH -- BTX can be the top currency - the tech is that good.
IT is FAST, FAST, FAST - and once other tech builds pay portals - FAST will be more important than ever!!!!

Don't worry people - Get all you can cheap, and HOLD - by the end of the year, you will be Very, very, very happy that you hold this coin.

Devs have a strategy - Build first - talk later - they will win.

Now WE HAVE TO DO OUR PART - build the community - TELL PEOPLE ABOUT BTX!!!!  You are in the right place.

I absolutely agree, reduce air drops and use the coins to get listed on Binance.  Seems a no brainer.  Hell we could even crowd-fund the binance fee and we would all still come out on top.

Tell me, does anyone have problems with the withdrawal of BTX from Cryptopia? I made a withdrawal request more than 2 weeks ago, but the coins did not come. Support does not respond to tickets.
I dont know, what i can made else...

Yes cryptopia is famous for act bad like this.. It happened also to me in past but max 6 days.. 2 weeks are so much.. Try to contact them also on Facebook page, even if im sure it does not help too much..
If you can, next time don't trade on cryptopia, they don't deserve it.
Is it possible to get in touch with support Cryptopia via facebook? Does anyone have a contact?

https://www.facebook.com/cryptopiaexchange/

when I had problems with the withdrawal of coins from this exchange, I communicated with this person on facebook. The problem was solved, but after 2 weeks.
Thanks! But i see "High volumes mean support response time may be up to 39 days. Sorry."

price crash today

It's OK, that's just the people who want to leave this train because of the airdrop ends soon.
Fair enough, better that way then for all of them to wait for last moment.

I think today's drop is still mostly driven by problems on the Cryptopia exchange.  People can't get them out for the airdrop because of problem, so they just sell, and that drives it down.

Airdrop doesn't end for estimated 8 more drops - BTX held in wallets will increase by 78% over that time.

I also think some BTX holders think BTC is about to explode, so they are buying bitcoin.  I think it is very hard to beat a guaranteed 78% return in 2 months.  BTC will have to be almost 20k by end of April to match, and that is if BTX does not go back up to the mean of it's price range - around $25.  I really kicked myself for not buying last time BTX went down under $18 - won't make that mistake again.

Buying low and holding.  Only silly people sell BTX.

Interesting inflow of new accounts promoting either exchange. Are you from Pakistan?

It does not help anyone who has their coins hijacked from the Cryptopia thieves.

Nor  is it the devs problem that you choose Cryptopia. Be responsible for your own choices.

Grin Grin Bitcore is going to become BitcoinCash. i think the price will gain in next month.
Hope so. Weak hands out there but community is growing anyway! Coin is less than a year old but however people expect instant success overnight. Bitcore will get more strong even before and have a great IMPACT on the crryptocurrency space that sure.

Ya but not enough of the easy stuff is being done right now. How about marketing? There has been none to speak of and it isn't even an expensive thing to do. I could crowdfund this and of course provide transparency every step of the way. It is only 4.2k USD but the impact would likely be tremendous. I have also spoken to them on the phone and I have full confidence in their service and their abilities. Let me know community.

great idea. count me in (i have few buddies who will definitely join)

OkEx is one of the best according to volume. But the user interface is really like we are in 90's.

I like both and I would like to see BTX on both.

Guys dont forget that BTX is THE best bitcoin HF up to now. Its light, amazingly fast and reliable. Jimmy Song one of the BTC code developers once admitted it https://medium.com/@jimmysong/bitcoin-diamond-super-bitcoin-bitcore-what-you-need-to-know-f49c35688a39. BTX devs might not be good at marketing and social promotion strategies but thats only delaying things. The chain is there, its working and it has value. Much more value than its current price. So, IMHO good things are coming to those who wait.

I totally agree with you. Your situation analysis is correct, the price is negatively influenced by the malfunctioning and by the mistrust towards the Cryptopia exchange.

Bitcoin will remain bearish for some weeks more, so getting the 7% compounding interests every week is still awesome and unrepeatable outside in real world.

If you look at the first 20 coins by market cap, 14 are red at this moment...So the uncertainty still surrounds the investors even in the next few weeks.

It's a shame because, the bitcore story would have been very different if there had not been a January and February so bearish for cryptos.

I don't think it's a matter of money though, I believe they have the funds for listing on other exchanges. They are either holding back on the big exchanges by choice, or because they won't accept us yet. I'm sure the team have a plan going forward.
