What if, we advertise bitcoin on T.V.?

This is a terrible idea.  We need to chill out and let Bitcoin continue its organic growth.  Its not good to pump the technology to the masses just to have them all lose trust in it when there is a 90% correction and they expected continued tripling yearly.  Crypto isn't slow and steady but we dont want to attach a rocket to it either.  Just enjoy the ride.

Its been advertised in my country now, in form of seminars on how to trade with bitcoin. but I pray they won't make it fraudulent.

Right now the government of my country decides to legalize bitcoin as a currency. Because of this, there are a lot of news and videos on TV about bitcoin, which tell about the advantages and disadvantages of  cryptocurrency. And although the government does not want to make bitcoins legitimate, these news act as advertisements.

Advertising on TV will definitely increase awareness for Bitcoin but I am not sure if that's a path that the cryptocurrency industry should take yet. All coins and blockchain technology are still immature at this point so the first impression to the non-investors / normal user might not have significant influence.

I've just thought about this for a moment but, if we want bitcoin to get more popularity, attention or acceptance would it be nice to make some advertisement about it on T.V.? I don't know if in other countries they advertise bitcoin but in my country, I haven't seen one. How do you think advertising bitcoin will affect the people? Any thoughts?

It is a good thing if someone would like to advertise bitcoin in television but the problem is no one wants to do this because it is a little bit pricey when you do a commercial in television. No one would like to pay such a high amount of money to promote bitcoin, yes, there is, some people advertise bitcoin in internet especially in facebook because it is free but not in television.

If we advertise bitcoin on T.V., it will be such a far-fetched idea knowing the fact that the government doesn't want the mass to know about bitcoin. Advertising bitcoin on TV will be very absurd on their part because they are promoting a currency that's against their ways. Only time this is going to happen is when mass adoption has already happened and the government has no other choice but to just embrace the ideology of bitcoin.

Governments stopped having control long time ago of what as broadcast, now with th internet it is impossible to buy every single blogger and youtuber, this is why the television is losing customer base, people can tell they are bought and part of the system that is why people are turning their backs to massive media and looking for answers someplace else.

Yes, and now the most powerful advertisement is media. not all people watch television movies or etc but peoples do spend more time in social media or social networking sites in just a click you will see unlike in the television. We don't need that bitcoins will autimatically spreading .

Correct I stopped watching television and going to the movie theaters since most of what it is produced today is pure garbage with a lot of computer generated effects but without any substance, however when it comes to the internet I realized that I spend a good portion of my free time in youtube watching what other people publish which in my opinion can be a lot more funny than what the television networks are producing today.

Advertising it on T.V will be good, but I don’t think it will make much sense, because the people that supposed to be doing it is the company, not you as a user. And by the way, people are much interested on internet than the T.V, unless they’ve got a show coming up.

Bitcoin can be advertised on television that would really drive its demand and increase in price. However, before spending and paying for a television commercial Bitcoin advertisement, we should remember that there should be a study on what station it should be advertised on. Knowing the target market is very important and there are stations where in the target market for Bitcoin is big. Stations with shows about investments like bloomberg is a good choice. Bro in all countries people don't have the facility to use the internet freely, but TV is there in each and every house if they are poor or rich they must watch TV. And the present generation people also not everyone is educated. We have lots of uneducated youths. To reach everyone, we should use Media support then only it is possible to reach the full world, and the users will increase.

hmm.. but not all people use internet for searching about technology blockchain. i think advertise in TV is good , because people that watching television from various circles. From young to old. But it's more fitting if combined secondly, between tv and internet as good

yes no doubt if we will advertise bitcoin on television then bitcoin will be more famous and the demand of the bitcoin will start going up and up and the investors of the bitcoin will be lucky enough to make good profit because of the increased price and more people will start using bitcoin and it will be more easy if we show the process of using bitcoin during advertisement so for me it will be more good for the bitcoin and the users of the bitcoin.

I don't think also that advertising in television is needed. First who will fund it? It could be better to discover by ourselves or with known person guidance that knowledgeable on btc. Advertising it may cause for government to put taxes.

Advertising cannot generate taxes since you are not earning from selling advertising but rather buying ads on the other hand I think that is too inefficient, you are going to pay for an ad whether people watch it or not, and we do not have an assurance we are going to reach our target audience since younger generations are watching less and less television and are using the internet a lot more.

You have a point bitcoin is becoming popular without advertising it in television so I think putting it in the television is necessary and besides social media is the main stream of advertising now and as what can I see in facebook and twitter there are plenty of people talks about crypto.

There's nothing wrong with your thought, It will be a good idea where bitcoin will be advertise on the television. But the question, who will take charge the expenses if bitcoin will commercialize on TV? Since bitcoin is not a company but a software I know. Of course, instead of sharing my capital to it, I will rather to invest it to buy bitcoin than it goes to the cost of commercial  on the TV. I hope you get my point on this things.

Advertising through media is not at all required. When advertising, the adoption will take place in large scale and importantly the sudden growth will target the audience and reach easier. Same time the advertising too will be acting as an disadvantage for the growing community.

I think advertising bitcoin in the television is a good idea but the thing is because its a digital money or cryptocurrency, I think the government will not allow it because they are backing up the traditional money that we are using.
