yes you are right that the real thing is to give proof and evidence of your success and achievements to those which you are going to discuss the bitcoin,so it will play a good role to convince the people into use of bitcoin, but i think talking (explaining) about bitcoin in a good and simple way also play a role to convince people into use of bitcoin and also it proves helpful to the people.

If you have Trust with the bitcoin and it's network with official wallet blockchain.info , then you don't need to insist people to get in the bitcoin and use it for the earning .
If you will make earnings in the big amounts then people who had no faith or trust with bitcoin , will now Trust with it and will start to join bitcoin to make earning , like you .

I convince them by showing them my bitcoins which are lying in my wallet and I also show them the sources from which I buy it. After that to prove to them I go to exchange and I convert that bitcoin to fiat and fiat to bitcoin and show them how to withdraw our money so after looking at that they believe that yes bitcoin is also a true currency.
