One argument I’ve never seen countered is that even when/if Ethereum scales it will always require transaction fees.
The flip side issue is if there are not transaction fees, what stops someone one from spamming the network with a billion transactions back and forth for DDOS? True Id prefer no transactions fees but we need a plan of how to avoid this. That's the answer I would like to know.

Blacklist IPs won't help Vs a distributed botnet Limit to max amount of tx per peer per time seems also not a thing we want

When will the EOS holders receive the IQ tokens? And can I buy EOS on an exchange to participate in the IQ drop? Or will only ico buyers receive IQ?
Right now you're only buying ERC20 tokens. Once the EOS platform is launched and people receive their 1:1 tokens on the EOS blockchain, then the IQ tokens will be distributed on the EOS blockchain. So the airdrop will take place when EOS has been successfully swapped to its own chain? Any date for the upcoming date available?

Hi, everyone! I have some EOS o ln an exchange but I would like to put it on the EOS blockchain by claiming my tokens through the smart contract on MyEtherWallet.com what is the best way to do that? Should I sell my EOS, buy ETH and then buy the EOS through the ICO?
Can you explane this (You need to register them before the ICO finish or they become useless)? If i bought tokens at exchange can i just connect EOS and MEW wallets and withdraw my tokens from exchange or i need to register them first? Thank you for help! Yes you need to register your MEW wallet to an EOS wallet before Jun 1. Once the wallet is registered just transfer all your EOS tokens to it (The MEW Wallet). You only need to register the wallet once so if you want to buy more on exchanges and send them to the same wallet later, you dont have to re-register them - the wallets are effectively tied so that when the Jun 1 snapshot is taken, your EOS wallet (tied to the MEW wallet) will have equal tokens. Also any airdrops like IQ will be credited. Not understand... I can't simply withdraw EOS tokens from exchange to my MEW Etherium wallet?

Just when do they think of creating an ANN thread here, it feels like we are deprived of the details and the right to ask questions when a team just do a close door sale which is only for private investors. But yes its a good project I suppose.

go to eos.io. klick on get EOS with a browser that has metamask. if you have your ETH-EOS-coins in this wallet you will see a button that lets you claim your coins. but claiming does not help. you have to REGISTER. https://eos.io/instructionsIf you hold EOS Tokens in an Ethereum account and fail to register your Ethereum address to your EOS public key, then your EOS Tokens may not be part of a Snapshot (as defined below) a third party may wish to create when the EOS Tokens become fixed and non-transferable on the Ethereum blockchain. In order to be part of such Snapshot, it is important that you generate an EOS public and private key pair (see the “Generate EOS keys” button below) and register your EOS public key with your Ethereum address prior to the EOS Tokens becoming fixed and non-transferable on the Ethereum blockchain which will occur within 23 hours after the end of the final period on June 1, 2018 at 22:59:59 UTC.

No you don't Miss it even it is still on the ICOs program, if you are thinking $10/token is expensive you are wrong because on june 2018 EOS will be more expensive than today because EOS blockchain will be launched.

From my understanding, dapps that are built on the EOS software have the ability to be used for free. I'm confused about the utility of the EOS tokens. Its quite vague in the website FAQ. Whats the purpose of EOS tokens, from its trading value?

From what I can gather there won't be a hardware wallet produced by Block.one by the time June rolls around...but using Apple's secure enclave and Qualcomm is coming out with a similar feature. Mobile phones will be the hardware wallet. EOS will also have an account recovery feature similar to Steem. From Dan Larimer he has sais on Telegram that due to the way account recovery will work there won't be a need for hardware wallets in the future.
